The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will remain in town to support Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), but what happens after that storyline wraps up? Many fans would like to see Ashley stick around for a story of her own and a new pairing. Ashley’s visits are nice, but it’d be even better if Y&R had time to let a hot plot play out.
It could be within the realm of possibility since the show was able to convince Christel Khalil (Lily Winters) to stay and play for a bit. The Young and the Restless insiders insist Khalil will be featured for few at least a few months.
Lily’s teaming up with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) at Chancellor Media – and we can already see the potential for love to bloom.
So what about Ashley? What kind of story could Y&R writers cook up for her? One option might be joining forces with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) to build this empire she’s been talking about.
Abby plans to build a bigger and better hotel to rival the Grand Phoenix. Ashley might be the perfect person to partner up with, especially since it could bring some fun mother-daughter clashing.
Speaking of mother-daughter clashing, perhaps The Young and the Restless could bring that through Ashley’s romantic possibilities, too. After all, Ashley and Abby have been known to fall for the same guy!
Both Abby and Ashley were involved with Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) once upon a time. Could Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) by their next mutual love interest?
Some Young and the Restless viewers are loving the chemistry between Abby and Chance. Others feel like this pairing was rushed and forced. However, the one thing most of us can agree on is that Chance and Abby could use some drama. They can’t just sleep together all the time; that’s not a story.
If Ashley was thrown in the mix to make this a love triangle, it would certainly liven things up. It’d be worth a shot just to see what Ashley and Chance’s chemistry was like.
Abby’s going to need a new sparring partner if Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) stays busy with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and her brewing reunion story. Maybe Abby’s next rival could be her own mother!
