The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) loathes Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but can’t recognize that he’s like him. No, they don’t share a contempt for their father’s, as Billy loved John Abbott (Jerry Douglas). But both men behave in similarly selfish ways and are enabled by those around them.
Billy’s connection with Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) was created by Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), who has often rationalized his behavior and in this instance is using him.
Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) has openly become Adam’s partner in crime once again and with that he has no one telling him he’s wrong.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Las Vegas Issue Erupts
Alyssa told Billy that she was able to get the evidence to bring Adam down. Thompson’s character was concerned about Alyssa’s apparent absence prior to her phone call, which caused him to go to the penthouse and accuse Adam of a crime he didn’t commit.
The problem for Adam, as he knows, is that the explosive information Alyssa confirmed could put him behind bars.
Plus, someone who became a true friend through that situation, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz), is also in danger of at least losing the opportunity to become one of Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) detectives, if not going to prison himself for not reporting the death of the man Adam killed in self-defense in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victoria Newman And Chelsea Lawson Further Trouble
Victoria should not be using Billy as a tool to attack Adam and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). But Heinle’s character has morphed into transactional mode, following Victor’s perceived slight at Newman Enterprises.
On that plot point, Victoria is acting like Adam as well. She’s being overly hard on Victor based on past events that are seen through a me-first lens.
Chelsea should simply know better. In the mid part of the last decade she generally served as a calming voice of reason for Adam (who was then played by Justin Hartley). Today, desperate to keep Chadam going, Egan’s character is recklessly endorsing Adam’s plan to bring Victor down.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Billy Abbott Projects Hypocrisy
Billy holds Adam at fault for killing Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono), while not even knowing if the character who was then played by Michael Muhney (Adam) even committed that accidental act. Seasoned Y&R fans know that epic period in show history remains an open question that can be revisited at any point.
The verbal confrontation Billy had with Adam at the penthouse said far more about Delia’s father than it did Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) dad. Billy simply can’t see that he and Adam share a similar personality type. That commonality creates the latest crash in Genoa City, Wisconsin.
