The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that it’s time to talk about a new addition to Y&R and what it means for the canvas. When The Bold and the Beautiful chose to fire Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra on B&B), many fans were hoping another soap would snatch her up. Thankfully, The Young and the Restless moved fast – and now Hope’s set to join the cast as a mystery character.
Of course, there’s a chance Hope’s character from B&B will cross over to Genoa City. Sally Spectra’s fashion background would make her incredibly useful. Sally could work with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) or perhaps design a new line for Fenmore’s, which would also pull her into the world of Jabot.
However, Hope could easily play a brand-new character – especially since soap writers often like to mold their own creations. Whatever vision Y&R has for this character may be totally different from Sally, so she might work better as someone else.
Regardless, we should discuss the romantic possibilities that might be in this character’s future. Love is always part of the equation in Genoa City!
Hope is 31, which makes her the perfect flexible age for pairings. She obviously looks youthful, but she still has a mature quality about her. It’s easy to imagine Hope being paired with a member of the younger set, but Y&R could just as easily pair her up with someone a bit older instead.
There’ll be no shortage of possibilities when it comes to Hope’s character and her love life.
Nevertheless, we might as well start the speculation somewhere! Could Hope’s character find herself working at Jabot soon enough? There are some hints about Summer Newman (Hunter King) possibly stepping away from the company and pursuing something else.
If that’s the case, Hope’s character could slide right in and replace Summer at Jabot.
Would Kyle be tempted by the pretty new redhead around the office? Kyle and Summer grew quite close when he was married to Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) – and that happened because they worked together. Although Kyle eventually admitted he always loved Summer, their teamwork at Jabot still led to their reunion.
It wouldn’t be surprising if Kyle started bonding with someone else on the job. Honestly, Lola needs to have more self-respect than to reunite with Kyle. We’d like to think Lola will keep her dignity and avoid reconnecting with Kyle romantically.
There may be a lingering spark, but that doesn’t mean Lola and Kyle should act on it. Y&R really needs to just let that ship sail.
Still, a romantic interloper wouldn’t be a bad idea for “Skyle.” Will Hope’s character come on board and be part of a new love triangle? Could she fall for Kyle and battle Summer for his heart? That might be a fun way to go, so we’ll see how it all plays out!
