The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is stunned when Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) tells him that she is Hilary Hamilton’s (Morgan) twin sister. Confirming that his late wife has a living relative will change Devon’s life in ways that he didn’t anticipate.
Amanda didn’t take long to make her decision. She chose to face the truth, with whatever that was after having a conversation with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) about a rare blood type she shared with his deceased patient, Hilary.
Now, with genetics confirmed, a series of questions have been opened.

Amanda looked exactly like Hilary, which caused Devon to naturally think that there was a genetic connection. But he didn’t push the issue when he first met the attorney last year, due to the issue she forced him to focus on.
Devon and his current soul mate, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), reset their connection with Amanda after the Chancellor estate inheritance storyline was resolved. No longer at odds, this trio and Nate, who wanted to explore a possible relationship with Amanda, have become group friendly. That dynamic enabled Amanda to feel comfortable talking to Devon about the testing issue, which she did.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Next Step Had To Be Taken
Y&R chose not to immediately address the obvious question of whether Amanda and Hilary were identical twins when Morgan returned to the cast last year. It was smart for James to be given dialogue that had Devon directly address this issue.
Devon, every other person in Genoa City, Wisconsin, who knew Hilary, and all audience members who have been watching since at least 2013, had the same, collective idea. Amanda and Hilary likely had to be twins.
Any arc that somehow claimed Hilary hadn’t died, or this was some form of Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman) doppelganger tale, would have been hard to believe. So, it’s relieving that TPTB chose the most logical step in confirming Amanda’s backstory.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Amanda & Devon Fall In Love, Get Married?
It would seem best not to knee-jerk into Amanda and Devon suddenly falling in love and getting married. A rebooted Hevon coupling, which could be called Demanda, would push the suspension of disbelief scenario overboard.
Amanda could plausibly fall in love with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), or Nate. Devon truly loves Elena and viewers have invested a lot of time in this pairing that developed naturally. So, their love story should continue.
It would seem wisest to write up Elena’s concerns and have Nate continue questioning how, or if he and Amanda are a match. Yes, not focusing on the direct dynamic between Amanda and Devon after the twin reveal projects as a reasonable.
