The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that two friends will play with fire – and there’s a good chance they’re going to get burned. We should consider some clues as we prepare for the drama that’s brewing.
For starters, the news that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is Hilary Curtis Hamilton’s (Mishael Morgan) twin has sent Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) into a tailspin.
Of course, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) keeps trying to make Elena understand that his life is with her now. To be honest, we believe him! Devon isn’t doing anything inappropriate at all. Amanda just found out Hilary is her dead twin sister, so it would be totally out of character for Devon to just let Amanda figure this out on her own.
Devon tried to step back and let Amanda handle it, but that’s just not who Devon is – and it’s not the man Elena fell in love with. There’s no reason Devon shouldn’t bond with Amanda as Hilary’s twin. Elena’s on edge when this is just a helpful friendship.
Devon hasn’t shown any sign that he’s going to pounce on Amanda, so that’s all in Elena’s head. Just like it’ll be in Elena’s head when she dreams Devon and Amanda are sleeping together!
After Elena has that steamy nightmare, she’ll get called into work ASAP. Elena will welcome the call since she won’t want to tell Devon about her dream.
Instead, Elena will confide in Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). Nate has urged Elena to let him be her secret weapon – and Amanda has picked up on just how protective Nate is of Elena. Y&R seems to be doing another version of a storyline they did earlier this year.
The Young and the Restless made it look like Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Tanner Watts (Chase Coleman) were getting too close for comfort when it was merely a friendship. It was stressed Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) insecurities that wrecked things since she was the one who wound up cheating.
Now we’ve got Amanda and Devon who are looking too cozy from Elena’s perspective, but nothing’s really going on. It’s Elena’s insecurities that seem poised to push her out of the friend zone with Nate. Like Mariah, Elena is spinning out and bound to do something she’ll regret.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say a medical crisis will strike that affects Elena and Nate deeply. That’ll probably strengthen this emotional pull they’re feeling.
When you throw in Elena’s issues and Nate’s attraction to her, this drama has to explode somehow. We’re betting it’ll be Elena who cheats first with Nate – not Devon who cheats with Amanda.
This fits with Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of September 28-October 2, which state that a surprising duo will sizzle. The following week will bring more risky behavior from Nate, so this might even happen more than once!
There’s no word on whether Nate and Elena will simply kiss or take it a step further with a hookup, but the hookup seems most likely. If it could happen with Mariah, it might as well happen with Elena! This story’s following a similar pattern in terms of Elena becoming a hot mess who’s going to blow it.
Naturally, Elena’s betrayal should be even worse since Nate’s involved. These are two people who care about Devon a great deal, but they may hurt him in the worst possible way. We’ll provide updates as other Y&R details emerge.
