The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that one CBS soap star recently headed to the hospital to give birth. Y&R fans know Elizabeth Hendrickson as Chloe Mitchell in Genoa City. Since The Young and the Restless writers wrote Hendrickson’s pregnancy into the show, Chloe also happens to be pregnant.
Although Chloe’s due date is still to come, Hendrickson’s ready to get her bun out of the oven! This is certainly exciting, but things are also a bit nerve-wracking due to the COVID-19 aka coronavirus crisis. As concerns grow about this pandemic and more precautions are taken, it’s affecting plenty of lives in many different ways.
Pregnant women are facing more challenges during the coronavirus outbreak. On Instagram, Hendrickson talked about how COVID-19 affected her own situation. Although Hendrickson is staying positive and documenting her journey to bringing home her daughter, the Y&R star was honest about their fears and some bad news.
Hendrickson and her husband, Rob Meder, have the nursery prepared for their little one. All their daughter has to do is come home and get a warm welcome! Hendrickson posted a picture of that nursery and talked about how things have played out so far.
“The last time I’ll see this room empty,” Hendrickson said. “We just checked into the hospital. We’ve decided to induce labor with everything moving so rapidly. We felt it was safest to get her here safely before Rob wasn’t allowed in the delivery room like they’re doing in San Fran and NY.”
Unfortunately, it wasn’t long until Hendrickson receive that bad news we mentioned. “20 mins before we walked into the hospital the midwives were notified that after delivery only the mother is allowed with the baby postpartum,” Hendrickson said. “Rob has to leave. We are heartbroken but we also feel like I’m in incredible hands.”
Hendrickson went on to mention her helpful midwife by name along with her fantastic nurse. Despite Hendrickson’s disappointment over not having her hubby by her side after the delivery, she’s in good spirits and looking forward to the future with her baby girl.
“My midwife Didi is a dream and my nurse Andra is so awesome!” Hendrickson insisted. “I know i will be well supported by everyone in the maternity ward. My heart goes out to all of the mamas that are faced with being separated from their partners during delivery right now. I really can’t imagine doing this alone.”
Hendrickson has been keeping herself busy with a ukulele and has a lavender diffuser to calm her. Other than that, Hendrickson’s just been hanging in there and staying optimistic. She said, “…I’m just keeping my eye on the prize. A gorgeous baby girl to be in our arms as safely and quickly as possible.”
