The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Eric Braeden’s Fun Response to Y&R’s Big Honor – Shares Exciting News with Fans

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) recently decided to spread the word about a great blast from the past. After learning Y&R would re-air Victor and Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) first wedding from 1984 on Friday, April 3, Braden shared the news with his Twitter followers. He also added a simple and fun response.

Braeden included a flushed face emoji – seemingly to joke about how long ago this was. Since Y&R’s going all the way back to 1984, that naturally involves some dated wardrobe and hairstyle choices! However, those styles were all the rage back then and are definitely entertaining to reflect on now.

Braeden is clearly on board with The Young and the Restless’ first classic episode pick – and “Niktor” fans certainly are as well. Victor and Nikki’s first wedding was a special moment in Y&R history, so it’s worth reliving again and again.

Of course, this is all part of the show’s plan to intersperse some flashback episodes in with the current ones and make their new material last as long as possible. Because of the COVID-19 aka coronavirus crisis, things are a bit up in the air at Y&R. The cast and crew can’t get back in the studio to film new scenes anytime soon, so it’s best to make the new shows last by re-airing classics like this.

Despite Braeden’s flushed face emoji reaction, he definitely seems honored about the show’s first classic selection. When a fan tweeted Braeden about taking a walk down memory lane, Braeden agreed it was an “interesting idea.” The Young and the Restless actor gave another fan three thumbs up emojis and has been retweeting plenty of supportive comments about this episode.

Since Melody Thomas Scott plays Victor’s better half, we should note that she’s also excited. Scott tweeted, “#ClassicEpisodeAlert Hello, everyone.Hope U R all well & safe…CBS will be reairing the VERY FIRST Victor/Nikki wedding, which aired in 1984.For those who want 2 reminisce or those who have never seen it,I know U will enjoy it!”

Naturally, we have to wonder what other classics Y&R has in store as they try to make episodes last. Are there any other weddings you’d like to see? What about more drama-filled episodes with big reveals or shocking deaths? The Young and the Restless may want to focus on happier offerings under the circumstances, but dramatic options could be nice, too.

We’ll give you updates once Y&R announces their next classic episode. The Young and the Restless spoilers say the show will jump back into the action with a brand-new episode on Monday, April 6. Don’t forget to drop by CDL often for terrific Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news.
