The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, July 10, tease that viewers will see an encore episode that originally aired on July 3, 2019. The episode is part of “Summer Fun” week on the show and it will focus in part on the Genoa City summer carnival. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be among those enjoying their time relaxing at the carnival.
The episode will begin at Newman Enterprises, where Victor and Nikki will tell Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) that Victor has begun a new course of treatment for his PNH. Victor will explain that the treatment comes with some potentially devastating side effects, but that he’s determined to stay the course and that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is monitoring his progress on the new protocol.
Victoria and Abby will of course support their father, and after they leave, Nikki will chastise Victor as he picks up some work and starts busying himself. Nikki will think that Victor needs to relax, and she’ll say that she knows just the thing that will help him slow down and enjoy life.
Meanwhile, over at Society, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will catch up on what Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) has been up to the past several years. Chelsea will get Nick up to speed on how she and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) laid low and how she eventually married Calvin Boudreau (John Burke). Soon, Calvin will arrive at the restaurant, surprising both Nick and Chelsea.
Calvin will have tracked Chelsea down after he realized she wasn’t at the spa where she was supposed to be. Chelsea will explain that she needed to face Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in person, and that she was afraid that Calvin would have tried to stop her. Calvin will be understanding, and he and Nick will have a semi-friendly conversation before Calvin says that he and Chelsea have to leave. Chelsea will appear nervous as she and Calvin take off.
Over at Dark Horse, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will get a visit from Victoria. The woman will bicker about their newfound rivalry, since each will be CEOs of major Genoa City companies now. But Victoria will happily inform Phyllis that her flagship tenant for the Dark Horse high rise has jumped ship and will be in a Newman building. Phyllis will be unnerved.
At Crimson Lights, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will give Summer Newman (Hunter King) some coffee, trying to sober her up. Summer will get an angry text from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) wondering where she is, and Summer will launch into a big rant about Kyle and how he’s been neglecting his work due to Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). Theo won’t be impressed, and he’ll tell Summer that he’s leaving for Austin, walking out. Later, Phyllis will arrive and will take a drunken summer back to her hotel suite.
At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will arrive home, and Devon will announce that he’s going to take her somewhere back in time. Devon and Elena will end up at the Genoa City Carnival. Devon and Elena will eventually run into Nikki and Victor there. Turns out, Elena will have won a huge stuffed bear, while Devon won a teeny tiny little bear. The couples will laugh about that, and Nikki will observe that it’s great to see Devon happy.
Meanwhile, Phyllis will care for Summer in her suite at the GCAC. Summer will be ranting about Theo, and she’ll want to send him a mean text, but Phyllis will stop her. Phyllis will tell Summer that she loves her, and Summer will promptly crawl in the bed and fall asleep. Phyllis will watch her daughter sleep.
Devon and Elena will return to the penthouse, and Elena will put the teeny tiny bear next to a photo of Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), and Devon. Devon will kiss Elena, saying that he’ll remember this day whenever he sees the little bear.
