The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that one CBS soap star could see Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) falling in love. Y&R viewers know Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) was previously a big fan of Billy and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) as a couple. However, it’s clear that Billy may be headed down a different romantic path.
Jess Walton recently talked to Soap Opera Digest about Jill’s current thoughts on “Villy” and Billy’s romantic future. Walton acknowledged although Jill thought Victoria was a great match for Billy, Jill seemingly understands that ship has sailed for the time being. “I think for now, Jill has given up on Billy/Victoria thing,” Walton said.
The Y&R star went on to say Lily and Billy create a “nice balance” at Chancellor Communications. According to Walton, Jill’s hoping Lily can keep Billy from going off the rails and provide some security for the company.
As for Billy and Lily as a romantic duo, Walton feels like that’s a good option. Pairing Lily and Billy up isn’t Jill’s main goal, but maybe it’s something she’s considered. “I don’t think that’s uppermost on Jill’s mind, but then again, she’s fond of Lily and has given up on Victoria,” Walton admitted.
What about a wedding for Billy and Lily someday? Lily was once married to Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard), who was Jill’s stepson with her ex-husband, Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers). Maybe Lily could tie the knot with Billy next!
Walton was asked about maybe having Lily for a daughter-in-law again eventually. The Young and the Restless hinted that’d be a happy outcome for Jill. “Yes, it would!” Walton insisted. “If Billy is happy, then Jill is happy.”
