The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a love quad’s drama will take center stage. Y&R fans know Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) been sniffing around Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) for quite some time.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has tried to warn Lola that Theo’s motives aren’t pure, but Lola keeps brushing Kyle off and ignoring the threat to their relationship.
Of course, Summer Newman (Hunter King) helped Kyle realize this was about more than just Theo. She feels like Kyle’s been using Theo to inject some passion into his relationship.
Summer suspects Kyle got caught up in the romance of it all with Lola – and Kyle thinks she may be right. He thinks maybe they didn’t fully consider who they are and how they work as a couple.
All of this will be important as we build to some cheating shockers. Let’s look at some puzzle pieces and see if we can see how they all fit together. We know that Kyle already kissed Summer in San Francisco, which he’ll confess to Lola in the week ahead.
As Young and the Restless fans might expect, Lola will be furious. It should set up the kiss that happens between Lola and Theo in Society’s kitchen.
It sounds like Lola will confide in Theo and it’ll lead to these flying sparks. Lola will be vulnerable and perhaps even a bit vengeful. Y&R viewers will recall the time Lola broke up with Kyle over that expensive purse he got her for Christmas.
Lola later kissed Fenmore “Fen” Baldwin (Zach Tinker) to make Kyle jealous, so we could see something similar happening here.
Although Lola has definitely connected with Theo, that may only be part of the equation. Lola basically told Kyle that Theo’s interest in her was no different than Summer’s interest in Kyle.
Y&R may continue to focus on that comparison through this upcoming Theo and Lola smooch. Since Kyle kissed Summer, Lola may feel like she deserves the chance to retaliate with Theo – her version of Summer.
However, it seems likely Lola will battle guilt soon enough. She may see that Kyle was spot-on about Theo waiting to pounce and feel terrible about seeking revenge through a kiss. After all, two wrongs don’t make a right.
Meanwhile, Kyle will surrender to temptation and fall into bed with Summer. He’ll be in the doghouse with Lola and may see no hope for their future. Summer might seduce Kyle or at least convince him he got it right the first time. She may contend that Kyle was better off married to her, not Lola.
Sleeping with Summer may be what Kyle wants in the moment, but how will he feel afterward? Probably pretty crummy once he talks to Lola! It seems likely that Lola will confess her kiss with Theo and push for a clean slate.
An eye for an eye. A kiss for a kiss. Lola may think they’re even now and should move forward by cutting out the interlopers.
What Lola won’t realize is that Kyle’s committed a far worse betrayal – one that could set up an explosion that’ll come later. Will Kyle decide he needs to save his marriage?
Will Kyle convince needy pushover Summer to keep her mouth shut about hooking up? Summer insisted she just wants Kyle to be happy, so she may stay silent initially and respect his wishes.
The Young and the Restless spoilers for February sweeps insist a scandalous secret will change Lola and Kyle’s marriage forever. Stolen kisses are naughty, but hookups? Those are scandalous! It looks like Kyle will try to keep his worse round of cheating under wraps and set himself up for disaster.
