The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) may find herself in need of a new love interest. It seems like Lola and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) rushed into things following her split from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Lola has some lingering issues she needs to work through, so her romance with Theo is suffering as a result.
Theo recently made casual lunch plans with Lola, but then he got busy at the job he literally just started – the job Theo admitted was his last resort and he’d have to leave town over if he didn’t get! It’s pretty darn important for Theo to impress his boss, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), right now.
Call us crazy, but Theo’s brand-new position at Chancellor Communication took precedence over Lola’s empanadas in that moment. Lola’s upset about Theo not texting her, but wouldn’t that have looked rude and unprofessional from Billy’s perspective?
Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) was also on the receiving end of Lola’s rudeness recently, but it’s obvious Lola’s anger isn’t about Noah or even Theo. Lola’s understandably still struggling after what happened with Kyle and honestly needs time for her heart to heal.
There’s also the matter of Lola going to bed with Theo too fast, which just isn’t the kind of woman she is.
For Theo, sleeping together doesn’t carry as much weight. In fact, relationships in general don’t carry as much weight. Theo’s doing his best to change for Lola, but she’s making this an uphill battle for him.
Although Lola previously thought she had a lot in common with Theo, maybe there’s someone she’d be better suited to date. Once Lola truly has a chance to get past her underlying relationship problems, Noah might be her perfect match.
Like Lola, Noah’s been unlucky in love. He also doesn’t usually do casual and likes to take his time to let a romance deepen. Noah is definitely a sweetheart, albeit a bit of a vanilla one.
However, perhaps that’s exactly what Lola needs. Theo may be too much of a wildcard for Lola, who could use someone who’s as patient, devoted and steady as Noah.
Although Theo’s trying to settle down and be someone Lola can rely on, maybe they’re just not right for each other. Noah’s current Y&R stint is short-term, but The Young and the Restless could easily bring him back for a long-term stint down the road.
Noah would understand if Lola explained her issues and might be the one person who could really help her get over Kyle.
