The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) may have to make a tough choice down the road. After spending Christmas in Miami, Lola will return home for Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) wedding to Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
That’ll bring some New Year’s Eve fun since Celeste will surprise Rey by attending the nuptials after all.
There’ll be a sweet Rosales family reunion as Rey, Lola, Celeste and Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) all catch up. However, we have to consider what might be coming up for Lola in the new year. Lola is stuck without a story or a love interest, so The Young and the Restless spoilers say she’ll need a path forward.
Since Lola and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) didn’t get a proper goodbye, is there a chance he’ll get in touch once he’s settled? Theo ultimately took Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) deal and left to run the boutique business he was given.
There’s plenty of fine dining in Paris, where Theo intends to build a new life for himself.
Could Lola eventually become part of that life? It’s possible Theo will see that maybe he could’ve tried to be less of a flirt and more attentive to Lola. This would be a good opportunity for Theo to make things right.
Perhaps Theo could make a grand gesture in the coming months. Theo might reach out and offer a shot at meeting a chef that’s a big deal in Paris. There might even be a piece of property that’s up for grabs.
Lola’s attempt to open a restaurant in Miami was a disaster, but maybe she’d have better luck in Paris with Theo’s help. Naturally, that could open the door to another chance at romance. Lola was on the rebound when she first got together with Theo. Meanwhile, Theo was too busy networking to give Lola the attention she deserved.
The timing just wasn’t right for Theo and Lola to be a couple, but that might change in 2021. Theo may grow up a lot after his move to Paris – and Lola’s heart may heal from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) a bit more, too.
If Y&R decides to let Lola exit the canvas, a new adventure in Paris with Theo might be an exciting way to go.
