The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) and Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) will be presenters at the Daytime Emmy Awards. The forty-seventh annual event is returning to television for the first time in five years, when it was last seen on cable. It will be broadcast on CBS this Friday, June 26, starting at 8 pm Eastern Standard Time.
This is the first year since 2011 that a broadcast network is airing the show, which will be a virtual, prerecorded event.

Thomas Scott is a multiple time Daytime Emmy Award nominee. Braeden has also been nominated multiple times through the years. He earned a Daytime Emmy in 1998.
Erica Hope (Nikki) was the first actor to portray this character in 1978. Thomas Scott became the recast in 1979.
Braeden joined the cast in 1980. He was initially married to Julia Newman (Meg Bennett). His mid 1980’s marriage to Nikki was an epic event and set the stage for Niktor to become Y&R’s all-time greatest couple.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Production Scheduled To Resume July 6
Y&R shutdown production, along with the other broadcast network soap operas, and the rest of the entertainment world, in mid March. Viewers last saw new Genoa City, Wisconsin, scenes in late April. Classic episodes, presented as parts of theme weeks, have been showing since then.
Fans were anticipating Y&R’s return to work when it’s sister show, The Bold and the Beautiful, restarted production last week. While there were some testing procedural issues earlier this week, B&B was set to resume production as part of a three-day work week as of Wednesday. The regular schedule then calls for a Tuesday though Friday recording schedule thereafter.
Bell-Phillip Television Productions Inc. produces both shows and Y&R shares studio space with B&B. So, it makes sense that Y&R may be able to follow a similar Tuesday through Friday production schedule when the first full week in July arrives.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Niktor’s Bond Endures Forever
Nikki and Victor have been married many times. It’s easier and also kinder not to be specific about the actual number of marriages and breakups that have taken place. What matters most is this couple’s resilient love for each other.
The famous pairing was shown in the fade-out shot of the last new episode in late April. They were contemplating Victor’s renewed battle with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) at the fabled Newman Ranch.
With production scheduled to soon resume, fans should see Nikki, Victor, and other GC residents by early to mid-August, at the latest. That assumes all goes well with the creation of this iconic soap during these unusual times.
