The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) has come to appreciate the extra time she’s having with her family during the COVID-19 virus pandemic. Y&R’s production shutdown happened in mid March, meaning that Stafford and her castmates have been away from work and with their families for two-plus months.
Stafford posted a photo on Instagram that showed her and her son, Jameson, who was born in 2015 via a surrogate mother. Her first child, daughter Natalia, was born through a surrogate in 2009.
Aside of the photo of Stafford and Jameson on a sofa in their home she said, “Staying home with his mama 24/7 has been the greatest thing for this lil dude. He has been in HEAVEN. Hangin out and swimming and doing crafts, painting and playing on his Kindle, makin cakes, messing up the house… He thinks this is how life is now and how it’s gonna stay. He thinks THIS is life.”
In a reply to Stafford, Y&R co-star Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore Baldwin) said, “He’s so lucky to have you as his mama.”, followed by a fireworks and a double heart emoji.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Return To Work Projected
As of now, there is no projected date for Y&R to begin filming again. However, the Governor California is known to be forming plans that are related to Los Angeles, California, where Y&R’s sound stage is located, and is expected to make a guidance announcement as soon as this week.
Anticipating playing Phyllis again Stafford said, “One day, we are gonna get back to it. It’s so funny, all we say as parents is “I wish I had more time with my kids”… well… We do now?”, followed by a wide-eyed face emoji.
Stafford concluded by saying, “It’s been really challenging but I have enjoyed being with them. I don’t like the reason why of course. I must admit, I have learned some very important lessons as a parent. Priceless lessons.”

Fans of this celebrated daytime actor know that her extensive entertainment resume includes the internet series, The Stafford Project. That 10-episode 2013 comedy was set in a reality show format, with the actor presenting herself in a self-deprecating style.
Secret Mind of a Single Mom was a slightly different professional pursuit. That 2015 cable channel connected internet series focused on Stafford and her daughter. The actor used humor while looking at everyday life.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers’ Family Connections Matter
Viewers should return to seeing Phyllis during one of her more stable family periods whenever Stafford is able to portray her alter ego again. Phyllis’ relationship with Summer Newman (Hunter King) has been good. Summer is actually concerned for her parents, as Phyllis enters the start of another potential relationship with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) has been seen in a number of recent Y&R classic episodes, but hasn’t been home since 2016. His young daughter, Lucy Romalotti (as last played by Abigail and Olivia Moore in 2013), is Phyllis’ only grandchild. Hopefully Daniel and Lucy will visit Phyllis in the near future.
