The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) is open to talking about her impressive health and well being. The Y&R star addressed how she stays fit when referencing her recent interview with Women Fitness.
In a post on her Instagram account Stafford said, “Staying fit… it’s quite a subject. The most commonly asked question of me by others is “how do you stay so thin?”. Ya know… there is no secret, there is no magical potion. It is always diet and exercise. And in order to lose weight it is also diet and exercise.”
The two-time Daytime Emmy Award winning actor, who unexpectedly returned to Y&R last year after leaving General Hospital, is an avid Instagram user. That digital platform allows her to speak directly to one hundred and ninety eight thousand followers. As of the time of her most recent comments, she’d produced one thousand four hundred and ninety eight posts through the years.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – A Relationship With Food
Stafford went on to say, “I have had an extremely, how should I say it, unconventional relationship with food.”
Along with raising her two young children, Natalia and Jameson, and her role on Y&R, Stafford has also been writing a book about skin care.
Stafford said, “Some of you know I am in the middle of writing a book on taking care of your skin from the inside out. I have been working on this book for over a year. The research has been extensive but believe me it will be worth it!!”
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Work Pause Creates Challenges
Like all her Y&R colleagues and the show’s many millions of fans, Stafford surely has been challenged by the forced change in her routine.
The grind of working on soap opera involves extensive amounts of time at the studio for a regular contract player. That certainly can impact food choices and eating schedules.
The production shutdown, caused by the response to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, caused stay-at-home orders to be issued. That gave Stafford more time with her children and the ability to eat on whatever schedule she chooses.
Surely this unexpected time off and uncertainties regarding the length of the work pause are generating varied effects. That’s why Stafford’s proactive approach to health and well-being is especially meaningful right now.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Has Long Been Fierce
Phyllis Summers is fiercely independent. She knows what she wants and takes it, scheming to do so if necessary.
The character that Stafford first embodied in 1994 became one of the show’s greatest due to this actor’s talent. Phyllis’ rivals have included Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell), Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), various husbands, one-time love interests, and others.
Here’s hoping that a return to work in the relatively near future happens. That would signal good public health, while allowing Stafford and her colleagues to once again produce great soap.

So @womenfitness mag has added a longer version of my interview with them. The link is in the bio. Staying fit… it’s quite a subject. The most commonly asked question of me by others is “how do you stay so thin?”. Ya know… there is no secret, there is no magical potion. It is always diet and exercise. And in order to lose weight it is also diet and exercise. Of course the decision to change is the main thing. One must decide to change and want to change. THAT is the “secret”… I have had an extremely, how should I say it, unconventional relationship with food. I actually talked about it for the first time on @americangluttonpodcast ❤️ I, like the next person, love to eat good food and usually the best tasting food is the stuff that is not so great for our belly and ass. Although…. I am determined to change that. Some of you know I am in the middle of writing a book on taking care of your skin from the inside out. I have been working on this book for over a year. The research has been extensive but believe me it will be worth it!! Anyway, give this article a read. I hope it helps. I hope you like it. 📷 @bkheadshots
