The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, August 17, tease that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will resolve to help Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but she’ll want to get a few things straight first. Sharon will feel like it’s important to put some boundaries in place and keep things professional.
Adam will really appreciate what Sharon’s willing to do for him, especially considering she’s facing a cancer fight. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will extend his support, but Sharon will probably bring the focus back to Adam and his childhood issues.
Adam wants to unblock what happened so he can get the whole truth and fully accept what he did to AJ Montalvo.
Sharon may warn that what Adam learns could be painful and difficult to deal with. Once those images are finally back in Adam’s head, there’ll be no blocking them again.
Adam will understand what he’s getting himself into and will feel like this is something he has to do. Sharon may remind Adam that she’s going to be his therapist and nothing more – just to make sure they’re clear on that.
Once Adam and Sharon agree on the terms, there’ll be just one thing left to do. Sharon won’t want to tackle Adam’s crisis with him unless Chelsea’s OK with it.
That means Adam will need to give Chelsea updates on this therapy plan and get her blessing. Since Sharon is Adam’s ex and Chelsea wants the path to stay buried anyway, she’s going to have some big problems with Adam’s idea.
In the meantime, Chelsea will have some ideas of her own – ones that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) can help her out on. Victor will receive another visit from Chelsea, who’ll push for a strategy session. If anything good has come out of all this, it’s that Chelsea now understands the depth of Victor’s love.
Chelsea trusts that Victor wants what’s best for Adam and has always tried to protect him – at least from this disturbing piece of the past. Victor and Chelsea will come up with a plan to help Adam cope, but Adam’s clearly already got a plan in mind involving Sharon.
Once Adam fills Chelsea in, it’ll cause a huge fight over why Sharon has to be the one who helps him.
Next, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will talk to Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) about the truth of a situation. Abby will think they have to face the harsh reality of things.
Now that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has forced Abby’s construction site to shut down, Abby’s facing even more challenges. However, Abby isn’t willing to stand by and let Phyllis win the war.
It sounds like Abby will need Chance to back her up on whatever’s she has planned. Abby intends to fight back, so Y&R fans can expect some new tactics in the week ahead. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby and Phyllis’ feud may soon get nastier than ever!
