The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the CBS soap might be setting up a new couple on the sly. Y&R fans know Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) blew up her relationship with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) by sleeping with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).
Although Devon is refusing to reunite, it’s obvious he still loves Elena.
Of course, Devon also has complicated feelings for Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) – just like Elena has complicated feelings for Nate. The Young and the Restless spoilers say there’ll be some torn, unsure hearts in the coming weeks, but we’re willing to bet Elena and Devon are endgame.
Once the wound’s not so fresh and Devon works through what he’s feeling for Amanda, it seems likely Devon and Elena will get back together. Where does that leave Nate?
It’s clear that Nate’s far more into Elena than Amanda. Besides, there’s no guarantee Amanda would even take Nate back if he asked.
Amanda’s the kind of gal who has plenty of self-respect and probably wouldn’t want to sign on for more heartache. Even so, Nate’s going to need a love interest if he sticks around.
The same goes for Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), so could Y&R have plans for a Nate and Lola romance? It would actually make sense based on the story that’s been told so far.
It felt kind of random for Elena to become Lola’s roommate, but maybe there was a deeper purpose than just filling airtime for these two. Lola got a house call from Nate once upon a time. The doc gave Lola a home checkup after her hospital stay, so that led some fans to wonder if it was a chem test.
Maybe the show gave Nate and Lola a little trial run in case they wanted to pair them up someday. Someday could arrive before you know it! Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may have his hands full with Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
It won’t be easy for Lola to watch Kyle move on with either of those women.
If we’ve got lonely Lola pining for the man she can’t have and lonely Nate pining for the woman he can’t have, it’s a no-brainer to let them seek sizzling comfort together.
The whole roomie situation with Elena could set that up. Lola’s been inserted into this story, so it might be fun to see some flying sparks between this doctor and his former patient!
