The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will make an infuriating move on new episodes starting Monday, August 10. Y&R fans know Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is determined to beat Phyllis at her own game.
Abby stopped feuding over The Grand Phoenix to focus on building a bigger and better hotel nearby. She’s counting on this new hotel to make Phyllis’ “baby” look puny and pathetic.
Unfortunately, Phyllis has been fighting Abby every step of the way. Abby was frustrated when Phyllis arranged it so Abby would fail her inspection. Abby’s construction site was temporarily shut down over missing work permits, but she vowed to keep at it. According to Abby, this hotel’s happening whether Phyllis likes it or not!
However, Phyllis isn’t giving up either, which brings us to her next round of sabotage. On Tuesday, August 11, Phyllis will have an issue to discuss with Abby – an issue related to bones. To understand what this is all about, we have to revisit a conversation Phyllis had with Jack shortly before the shutdown.
Jack was interrupted by a phone call about his own construction site, which had to be closed due to bones. Phyllis listened intently as Jack explained that ancient fossils were found in the ground.
Jack noted that testing could take weeks or months. He added that if it turned out to be an archaeological dig, they’d have to find a whole new property.
This news intrigued Phyllis, who repeated the word “bones” as Jack left. It certainly sounds like Phyllis will arrange it so the same thing happens to Abby. Phyllis is quite the schemer, so she might make it look like fossils are under Abby’s construction site.
We wouldn’t put it past Phyllis to get her hands on some bones and actually have them planted there.
Regardless, Phyllis may buy more time if this site has to be tested for weeks or months like Jack’s. Abby might even decide it’s just not worth it anymore. If this plot doesn’t work, there’ll just be another one…and another one…
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis is set on destroying Abby’s hotel plans by any means necessary.
Naturally, Phyllis might argue that if Abby chose a different location, she wouldn’t have nearly as many problems. The main point of all this is eliminating competition right across the street – and winning this battle, of course.
Phyllis might walk away with victory and a competition-free zone thanks to this bone plan of hers.
Will this finally end Phyllis and Abby’s hotel rivalry? Let’s hope so! Abby and Phyllis could stand to do more than just scheme against each other.
