The Young and the Restless Spoilers Recap: Friday, October 2 - Summer & Kyle To Elope - Nate & Elena Passion Erupts - Victor Sheds Light On Dina’s Necklace

The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Friday, October 2, tease that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will have a nightmare while sleeping on the couch at Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse.

Elena will dream about Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Devon becoming a couple, and she’ll wake up upset. Soon thereafter, Elena will get a call from Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) needing her help at the clinic, and she’ll take off.

At Society, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashely Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will talk briefly about the exposé on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), then Jack will tell Ashely about the “teardrop of love” necklace that belonged to Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams).

Ashley will say that she’s heard of this necklace before, and that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) mentioned it to her years ago. Jack will say that he’ll talk with Victor about it later.

Over at the bar, Devon will walk in to find Amanda drinking alone. Devon will join Amanda, and Amanda will apologize for all the emotions that her twin discovery has brought up. Devon will say that she doesn’t need to apologize for how she thinks he may feel. Devon will say that the memories and old feelings definitely doesn’t change the present.

At Chancellor Communications, Adam will fume at Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) as he explains about what happened in Kansas, and how he was an 11-year-old boy protecting his blind mother.

Billy will say that Adam’s an adult now, and he’ll bring up Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) death. Adam will threaten to sue Billy, and Billy will gloat that they’re already working on part two of the exposé that will expose even more dirt on Adam.

Later, Ashely will arrive at Chancellor Communications to see Billy. Ashley will say that she was hoping that the company would be good for him – a healthy outlet. Ashley will ask if Billy hasn’t just traded one addition for another.

At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) house, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will return home and tell Sharon that he’s already been drawn into investigating Victor.

Rey will guess correctly that Sharon knew about the AJ Montalvo coverup and was helping Adam deal with it. Sharon and Rey will calmly disagree, with Rey thinking that Adam should be in prison and Sharon saying that what Adam went through as a boy was a catalyst for the things he’s done.

At Newman Enterprises, Victor will want answers from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Victor and Victoria will engage in a shouting match over familiar issues, with Victoria saying that Victor always give Adam a pass.

Victor will fume that this is having a terrible impact on Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and Victoria will say that she didn’t know Billy would go that far. Victor will say that’s rubbish.

Victoria will insist that she’ll be able to weather the storm and lead Newman Enterprises through this, and that now there’s no way that the company can fall back into Adam’s hands, and that Victor is too focused on his damaged son.

Victor will say that Victoria is lucky that she’s his flesh and blood, because no one talks to him like that. Victor will say that if the company fails, Victoria will be demoted and stripped of everything.

At the Grand Phoenix, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) will talk in their suite. Summer will gush she can now wear her engagement ring publicly.

Kyle will reference the big wedding that he wants to give Summer, but Summer won’t want a big wedding. Kyle will get an idea – they’ll elope. Summer will balk at first, but Kyle will insist that it might be better to go out of town and wed quietly since Billy has declared war on the Newmans.

Summer will agree, and Kyle will say that he’ll plan the whole thing and that the destination will be a surprise. Down in the lobby, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be on the phone trying to sell her entire stock portfolio when Summer comes off the elevator.

Phyllis will hear that Summer is headed out of town, and she’ll think that Summer is acting weird. Summer will cover, saying that she’s still upset about Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) reaction to the engagement.

Phyllis will head back up to her suite, where she’ll rant to herself about how Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) would love to see her fail. Suddenly, Phyllis will get an idea, and she’ll call Victoria, saying that there’s something that she wants to go over with Victoria.

Phyllis will tell Victoria that what she has to say is pretty extraordinary and is something Victoria needs to hear.

At Crimson Lights, Sharon will arrive to meet Adam. Adam will immediately ask about Faith and how she’s doing. Sharon will say that Faith is pretending to be ok, but that she’s concerned about her daughter.

Sharon will urge Adam to find a professional to help him navigate what comes next, since she can’t do it. Sharon will tell Adam that he can still count on her as a friend.

On the patio, Kyle and Summer will meet up, and Kyle will ask if Summer is ready for this. Summer will gush that the next time they see Genoa City, they’ll be a happily married couple.

At the Newman Ranch, Jack will pay Victor a visit, and after a little talk about the Adam exposé, Jack will say that he wants to talk about something concerning Dina.

Jack will mention the “teardrop of love,” and Victor will say that John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) bought the necklace for Dina on the black market back in the day, but that it was stolen when Dina left the family for Paris.

Victor will say that he then took an interest in the necklace and wanted to buy it for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), but that it got purchased by someone else in a private transaction, and that the company that purchased it was a holding company named “Bohdi.”

Jack will thank Victor for the valuable information, and he’ll chime in that Victor did the right thing trying to protect Adam.

At the New Hope Clinic, Nate and Elena will have a moment of calm, but then someone will burst through the front door and collapse on the floor. It will be Jared (Michael Maclane), and he’ll have overdosed on something.

Elena and Nate will hurriedly work to save Jared, and finally Jared will wake up and end up heading to the ER in an ambulance.

Nate and Elena will be emotionally spent from the experience, and they’ll be grateful that Jared didn’t die. Elena will say that Jared has a chance at a new start, and that he came to the clinic because he knew he’d be taken care of by someone he could trust.

Elena and Nate will sense that something is developing between them, and Elena will walk into the next room to be alone.

Nate will follow Elena and he’ll gently ask if she’d rather be alone. Elena won’t answer, and Nate will go to leave, but Elena will call out for him. Nate will walk over to Elena, and they’ll kiss passionately.
