Sally will want to know who Lauren has in mind for the JCV gig, but Jack won’t think that it’s right for him to share. Jack will say that he’ll put in a good word for Sally, though, and Sally will leave frustrated but with a smile on her face.

Meanwhile, over at Society, Lauren will ask Summer Newman (Hunter King) to lead JCV into the future. Summer will be overwhelmed by the offer, and as she and Lauren are talking about it, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will overhear their exchange, but he’ll slip out before they notice him.

Summer will tell Lauren that she needs time to think about the offer.

After Summer takes off, Kyle will walk back into Society and ask Lauren why she chose Summer for the JCV position. Lauren will say that the doesn’t report to Kyle, and Kyle will say that he’s just curious and that he doesn’t want to lose Summer from Jabot.

Phyllis will leave Faith and Nick alone, and Nick will come down hard on Faith, who will explain that she got the chance to seem normal with the other kids and she took it.

Nick will gripe about how Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is an alcoholic, and so Faith has to be careful. Nick will also bring up when Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) got behind the wheel of a car because the guy she was with was too drunk to drive.

Faith will beg Nick not to tell Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) about this, and Nick will say that he’ll think about it.

At the Grand Phoenix, Phyllis will arrive to find some hotel promotional materials waiting for her. Suddenly, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will appear, saying that she didn’t approve of the materials or the promotion and that Phyllis needs to run everything by her.

Victoria will tell Phyllis that if she pulls another stunt like this, she’ll be sorry.

Back at Jabot, Summer will talk with Jack, wondering if he wants to get rid of her from Jabot to make Kyle’s life easier. Jack will say that he’d never play games with Summer’s career like that.

Jack will encourage Summer to talk with Nick and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about the move and then to decide what’s right for her.

Later, Summer will be alone when Kyle arrives. Summer will tell Kyle about her JCV job offer, and Kyle will wonder what she’s going to do.

As they talk, Summer will realize that this job is too good to pass up, and she’ll say that she’s going to officially resign as head of marketing for Jabot to go run JCV. Kyle will congratulate Summer.

At Crimson Lights, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will sit with his pen from Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will hear some of his woes over the will.

Theo will mention that he’s going to war to get what’s his, but Mariah will think that Theo’s heart is what’s broken.

Later, Nick and Faith will arrive at the coffeehouse, and Nick will leave Faith in Mariah’s care. When Mariah steps away, Faith will text Jordan (Madison Thompson), saying: “I should cool it for a while. Dad found out and he’s furious.”

Jordan will text back, saying: “Parents have no concept of fun. We’ll be way more careful next time.”

Back at the Grand Phoenix, Phyllis will leave Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) a voice mail about needing advice and being on the brink of losing her hotel. Suddenly, Nick will burst in, all upset that Phyllis didn’t tell him about Faith and her drinking.

Nick and Phyllis will fiercely argue, with Nick saying that some of Phyllis’ more unsavory habits are making a comeback.

Phyllis will feel attacked, saying that she is sorry for not living up to the great Nick Newman, and she’ll leave in a huff. Back over at Society, Sally will arrive to find Theo sitting at the bar.

Sally will wonder if Theo’s offer from before is still on the table, and she’ll think that they should pool their resources.

Sally will say that she’ll gladly take a cut of Dina’s money if she can help him win his lawsuit against the Abbotts. Theo will say that he spoke with his lawyer, and he needs more information to proceed. “You are just what I need,” Theo will say. “And after I file suit, I’ll need to know how they plan to retaliate.”

Sally will agree to help out, and she’ll ask Theo to find out who is the new head of JCV so she can take them out of the running for good.
