The Young and the Restless Spoilers Review: Thursday, October 15 – Lola Falling for Kyle Again - Adam Rejects Phyllis’ Alliance

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers review for Thursday, October 15, teases some excitement’s brewing. At The Grand Phoenix, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) finds Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and suggests they should all sit down as a family to strategize against Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Nick’s irked that Victoria wants to talk about family after the “coldblooded” way she dealt with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

Victoria wants to table the Phyllis drama, but Nick contends that Phyllis is part of this family, too. Victoria scoffs and wonders if that’s because Nick says so. “You’re damn right,” Nick replies. He’s still upset about Victoria’s role in the Adam article since it hurt Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind).

Victoria’s sorry about the Faith situation, but she’s not sorry for how she handled things with Phyllis, who was asking for it. Nick thinks Phyllis came after Victoria with a knife and Victoria responded with a cannon.

It’s typical Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) according to Nick, so Victoria asks if that comment’s supposed to hurt her. Nick insists the blame for all the Adam mess is on their father.

At Jabot, Phyllis shows up looking for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), so Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) tries to make a quick getaway. Phyllis stops Kyle and pushes him to answer her questions.

As a mother, Phyllis is concerned about Summer Newman (Hunter King). Phyllis thinks Kyle must be lying to her or himself and asks what Kyle did to chase Summer out of town.

Phyllis wonders if Kyle yelled out Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle) name while he was sleeping, but Kyle insists he didn’t. Next, Phyllis reminds Kyle that the last time he married Summer, it was because he wanted part of her liver. “What do you want from her now? A lung?! A kidney?!” Phyllis asks angrily. “I loved her!” Kyle fires back.

Kyle makes it clear that he loved every impulsive, beautiful and crazy part of Summer, but she left anyway. After Kyle argues that he’s the one who got walked out on and was left heartbroken, he tells Phyllis to track down Summer if she wants answers.

In the park, Summer’s on the phone reassuring someone that she can pay. “Look, just make sure you give me what I need,” Summer insists. Summer tells this person to be her eyes and ears at Society.

She wants to know every time Kyle steps foot in that restaurant and every single conversation he has with his ex-wife. Summer gets that it’s risky, but she promises this Society employee a better job at Top of the Tower if things go south.

At Adam’s penthouse, he’s about to leave when Victor shows up to talk to him. Adam thinks it’s a low tactic to confront the enemy under the guise of a father-son chat, but Victor argues that he’s not the enemy at all.

Adam insists that Victor is indeed the enemy – the whole Newman clan is. He thinks Victor should be worried, so Victor wonders what that means. Adam contends that it’s a question that should keep Victor up at night.

He feels like Victor should ask himself what the monster he created is capable of, but Victor’s there as a father who’s concerned about his boy.

Victor tries to apologize for the cover-up and for the strained relationship Adam has with his siblings. He practically handed Adam the keys to the kingdom – partly out of guilt because he wasn’t there for Adam when he was younger. Victor wants to make things right now, but Adam doesn’t want to hear it.

Adam talks about having a good life with his mother and then a good life on Wall Street. Everything went wrong for Adam after he fell into Victor’s orbit. Adam feels like Victor wanted him to be broken, damaged and controllable.

He wishes he never found out Victor was his father and that Victor had never seduced him to come back to Genoa City.

Adam warns that he has nothing to lose – and that makes him a very dangerous man. He orders Victor out of his apartment, so Victor gets up to leave. Victor points out that they have abandonment issues in common. The one thing Victor can tell Adam is “don’t you EVER threaten me.”

Back with Victoria, she rants about how Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) was going to publish that article with or without her help. Nick still feels like Victoria gave Billy the ammo.

He contends that Victoria expects him to help her while she goes after Phyllis – and Nick’s got a problem with that. This hotel is Phyllis’ dream, but Victoria just wants petty revenge.

After Victoria stomps off on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Phyllis appears and learns Nick was sticking up for her. Talk turns to Kyle, who seemed genuinely heartbroken to Phyllis. Nick still feels like Summer must’ve had a good reason for bailing, even if it was just realizing Kyle isn’t the man for her.

At Society, Kyle shows up and quickly explains to Lola that he didn’t choose the restaurant. The client Kyle’s meeting simply loved Lola’s food. Lola apologizes overreacting before and assures Kyle that he’s welcome there.

Kyle’s grateful for some kindness and admits he’s getting mocked relentlessly on social media. Lola learns that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) got the ball rolling, so now everyone knows Kyle got dumped. Lola says she’s sorry – she really is.

Kyle teases about reactivating the dating profiles he hasn’t used in years and brooding at the bar, so Lola jokes about how he can do it anytime as long as his credit card goes through.

The waiter Summer paid makes a video on his cell phone of Kyle and Lola’s banter. He sends it to Summer, who watches it at the park until Faith sneaks up behind her and interrupts.

Faith assures Summer that she hasn’t ratted her out and invites her sister to open up about what she’s dealing with. Summer insists this is just about research.

Faith asks if it’s about finding out if Kyle is still in love with Lola, but Summer denies it. Even so, Summer admits she’s finding it hard to trust and doesn’t want to make a mistake again.

Faith gets quiet and suggests that love really sucks. She doesn’t get why anyone would put themselves through that if it’s as bad as Summer makes it seem.

Summer insists it’s worth it and wants Faith to find happiness with someone when she’s older. “Don’t let me or anyone else scare you away from love,” Summer says. “It really is the best feeling in the world.”

Faith’s phone dings, so Summer wonders if that’s a text from Sharon Newman (Sharon Case)…or a boy…or that person Faith didn’t want to talk about earlier. Faith smiles as Summer calls her a brat, so they share some cute sister moments.

Back at Society, Kyle’s meeting is over and he’s taking Lola up on the offer to brood at the bar. Lola asks about Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), so Kyle admits she’s in hospice care and won’t be with them much longer.

It’s hard to look in Dina’s blank eyes and know she doesn’t have a clue who Kyle is. Lola assures Kyle that Dina knows somewhere deep inside.

When it’s time for Kyle to go, Lola jokes about how all the women must be screaming Kyle’s name on those dating apps. She suspects they’re swiping right as they speak. Kyle laughs before Lola stops him as he inches toward the door.

She pushes Kyle to give Dina and his family her best. Once Kyle’s gone, Lola seems annoyed over letting Kyle back in her heart just a crack. “What the hell is wrong with you?!” Lola asks herself.

Later, Nick mentions Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) getting the businessperson of the year award, so he recommended The Grand Phoenix as the venue for the event.

Phyllis is thrilled and loves Nick for having her back with Victoria, too. Nick promises he made it clear to Victoria that she won’t make him choose between his sister and Phyllis.

After Nick leaves, Victoria shows up and offers a simple solution to Phyllis’ problem. Victoria promises a fair deal if Phyllis just sells her shares, but Phyllis refuses and warns this won’t go Victoria’s way.

When things get serious, Victoria warns that Nick always puts family first. She insists that Phyllis will never be a member of the Newman clan and adds that her offer has a time limit.

Once Victoria is gone, Phyllis approaches Adam as he sits at the bar. She thinks he looks like a “roadmap to hell,” but Adam just asks what she wants. Phyllis replies that she wants to turn that frown into a smile.

Adam tells Phyllis to just go away, but she thinks she can help him. She offers to be Adam’s friend, but then she suggests an alliance would be more appropriate.

Phyllis thinks they can get back at everyone who’s screwed them over and suggests “hypothetically” wiping that smug look off Victoria’s face. “Wouldn’t that be rich? Wouldn’t that be fun?” Phyllis asks.

Adam suggests that Victoria’s asking him to inflict pain on someone in exchange for his friendship. Phyllis contends that’s Adam’s skill, but he smacks money on the bar to pay for his drink and leaves in disgust.

At Crimson Lights, Faith talks to Nick and asks how he’s doing. She feels like Nick’s carrying the family and wants him to know Nick can have real talks if he needs them.

Nick praises Faith for the young woman she’s becoming. He gets choked up over how proud he is of Faith and how much he loves her, so Faith gets emotional, too.

At Sharon’s place afterward, Faith calls out for her mom. No one’s home, so Faith sits alone on the sofa and seems to be on the verge of tears again. As for Nick, he surprises Phyllis in her suite with a ton of carbs – including “multiple pies.”

Phyllis and Nick decide to focus on each other right now, so Phyllis insists she’s lucky to have Nick.

Back at Jabot, Kyle gazes at Summer’s photo while she watches the video her hired waiter took again. In Victoria’s office, she makes a call to prepare their legal team since something’s coming. Adam makes it back home, pours a drink and then decides not to down it. He moseys over to the window and looks out.

Victor catches up with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in the park on Thursday’s Young and the Restless episode. Nikki assumes Victor went to see Adam. Victor admits he think his son is lost to him now.
