The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) may be underestimating her Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) takedown plan. Alyssa recently talked to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about what she hopes to get out of this story.
During their conversation at Chancellor Communication, Alyssa suggested she didn’t see Adam landing in prison over any of this.
Instead, Alyssa just wants everyone to know what kind of man Adam is. She wants to blow up Adam’s world with the truth about his actions in Kansas and Vegas. That’s kind of lame and pointless considering Adam’s already hated by so many people.
Alyssa can take that hatred on a much larger scale through Chance Comm, but what will making Adam out to be the big bad wolf accomplish? Adam’s already the big bad wolf!
Publishing this story might make some people hate Adam more, but so what? Why should Adam care? That’s not going to blow up Adam’s world at all.
If Y&R’s idea of a climax is simply a headline declaring Adam a killer, they need to rethink this storyline. The stakes have to be higher, so we’ll hold out hope that Alyssa will be wrong – at least for a while. Perhaps Alyssa’s confidence about Adam’s lack of jail time is actually a hint.
Alyssa’s plan might result in criminal charges since Adam and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) covered up what went down in Vegas.
There’s no proof that wasn’t murder, so Adam and Chance could land in some trouble. If not, this storyline could spiral out of control and lead to other criminal behavior.
Adam’s arrest seems necessary for this Young and the Restless storyline to be truly dramatic. Of course, it would be even more dramatic since Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) would probably be the one doing the arresting. It’s easy to imagine this causing a huge fight between Rey and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
Sharon might have to watch her current man haul her former flame away in handcuffs. Just imagine how soapy that’d be! On some level, Sharon might feel like Rey’s arresting Adam just to get rid of the competition.
That’s especially true if the charges don’t end up sticking – and they obviously won’t. Adam isn’t going anywhere, so his stay in jail would have to be a pretty short one.
Even so, Sharon may think Rey crossed the line in his attempt to get Adam out of her life. Do you think Rey will ultimately arrest Adam? Could that destroy Sharon and Rey’s romance? As other Y&R news and updates emerge, we’ll provide the hottest details.
