The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) finally has some stability at the helm of Newman Enterprises. After playing CEO musical chairs for a while, Victoria has become the company’s steady leader.
When it comes to Victoria’s career, things couldn’t be going better. It’s Victoria’s personal life that leaves a bit to be desired.
Is Victoria ever going to find true love or is she doomed to stay single forever? The least Y&R could do is give Victoria a hot hookup or two. Instead, Victoria spends her spare time trying to make Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) miserable through hotel pestering. That can’t be all that fulfilling!
Of course, Victoria doesn’t NEED a man, but the soap genre thrives on passion and love stories. Victoria’s only going to get bland business battles and family drama if Y&R never lets her meet anyone special. The problem is Victoria doesn’t have a ton of options on canvas.
It’s a shame The Young and the Restless didn’t follow through on the Victoria and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) spark they teased. Flirty Theo and Victoria seemed poised for a hookup at one point, but it never panned out.
It almost felt like something the show scrapped for whatever reason. Too bad since it would’ve been fun – even just for a night!
On the bright side, there might be someone out there who’s a better match for Victoria anyway. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) are planning their wedding, but is it really going to happen?
It feels like Sharon and Rey are both due for romantic shakeups. Their Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) issues aren’t going away and probably never will.
Victoria might be perfect for Rey since she hates Adam even more than Rey does. If the “Shey” wedding crashes and burns as expected, Adam should be the reason why. Even if Rey just doesn’t believe Sharon’s over Adam, you can bet there’s going to be more Adam-related tension.
Rey and Victoria have faced similar frustrations when it comes to Adam. Victoria has to watch Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) continually defend Adam when she views her brother as a lost cause. Likewise, Sharon often wants to help Adam when Rey doesn’t think that’s her job.
Perhaps Rey and Victoria could use those Adam frustrations as fuel for some passion down the road. It’d give these two some common ground since they’d understand each other. Could the failed “Shey” wedding set up Rey falling for Victoria in 2021? Time will tell, but Victoria could use a new love interest and Rey may soon be available!
