The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that all signs point to a “Shey” breakup. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) was clearly unsettled after Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) pushed for a reunion and acted like they were meant to be.
The fact that Sharon admitted she’d never love Rey like Adam was red flag number one, but an even bigger one came later.
Sharon had to nudge Rey into this marriage proposal, which certainly isn’t a good thing. It’s just hard to believe Sharon and Rey will last considering how Y&R’s setting them up to fail.
The Young and the Restless is setting Sharon up to pick Adam instead, so a “Shadam” reunion could be how this all turns out.
However, there’s someone we really need to consider in all of this – and that’s Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind). Faith has already been sneaking out and inching down the path to trouble.
That’s partly due to everything Faith is up against and partly because of her new friend, Jordan (Madison Thompson).
What happens once Sharon’s latest romance blows up like so many before it? That’d be enough for Faith to deal with, but another round of tough news may be coming.
Keep in mind that Adam – who’s probably going to become Sharon’s love interest again – definitely isn’t Faith’s favorite person right now.
After Chance Comm published that story on Adam, it was hard for Faith to cope with being switched as a baby. Although Faith already knew the gist, seeing all the details laid out like that really hit her hard.
Faith’s still struggling to understand how Sharon could forgive Adam and be friends with him after that.
If Faith is upset over Sharon and Adam’s friendship, just imagine how she’ll feel if they reunite as lovers. It could be the last straw for Faith that really sends her over the edge. It’s easy to imagine this sneaky Jordan chick steering Faith toward a vengeful path.
Perhaps Faith will get her revenge for the baby snatching and the more recent bullying by targeting Adam.
Jordan might convince Faith that they can team up and force a “Shadam” split. Faith may feel like Sharon would be better off moving on with just about anyone else.
Maybe Faith could even push Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) back together – both as a parent trap type of situation and because there’d nothing Adam would hate more!
Whatever the case, Sharon seems poised to reunite with Adam and Faith’s bound to object. It makes you wonder what Faith will decide to do about it, so Jordan may help brainstorm some “Shadam” destruction ideas. We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R updates emerge.
