The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) will make a startling decision about her future with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Y&R fans know Summer pined for Kyle throughout his marriage to Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). It’s why Summer was unapologetically rooting for Kyle’s relationship to tank hard.
Right after Kyle and Lola called it quits, Summer didn’t go to Kyle’s hotel suite with the attention of making love. However, Summer did end up sleeping with Kyle that very night – and she had no qualms about it.
Although Summer’s done her best to keep Lola’s feelings in mind in the aftermath, the fact that Kyle isn’t divorced hasn’t been a problem…yet.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that’ll change soon enough. Summer will determine that she needs to put her relationship with Kyle on hold. Until Kyle gets this divorce issue sorted out, Summer just won’t be willing to move forward with him. There could be several reasons why Summer will show things down and opt for this approach.
One reason might be that Summer suspects Kyle’s dragging his feet. If Summer starts to fear Kyle has lingering feelings for Lola, she might want this divorce as proof that he’s willing to move on.
It’s also possible Summer will just feel like it’s the right thing to do. Summer may start to worry that all the naysayers are right about them jumping into this reunion too fast. This could be good for all of them.
However, Summer could also be risking a lot here. This isn’t exactly a breakup, but it’ll serve as one in a way. This is at least a break! Right now, Summer’s got Kyle wrapped around her little finger in this blissful bubble.
What happens once Kyle’s got some distance and gains some perspective? It could lead to “Skyle” trouble, especially since this divorce hasn’t been resolved.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle and Lola will finally address their formal split. That’s sure to be an awkward and painful conversation, but it’s one they need to have.
Lola and Kyle will come together with the goal of ending their marriage, but will they be able to follow through with it? It’ll be interesting to see if there are any romantic updates at the end of this storyline.
