The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) could be on the verge of uncovering some huge secrets. Y&R fans know Adam recently ran into his childhood bestie in Kansas. Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) was thrilled to bump into Adam, which gave them the opportunity to catch up.
During their latest chat, Adam talked to Alyssa about her father’s sudden death. Alyssa noted that her dad fell from a barn loft and died instantly, so it seemed like a freak accident on the surface. Of course, there’s often more to a story like that – at least on a soap!
Adam later mentioned that Alyssa’s father was a loan shark named AJ. He also remembered Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) being in town at the time of AJ’s demise. Y&R’s clearly setting up the possibility that Victor murdered AJ, but why? Could there be a deeper secret buried under this mystery?
We have to consider why Victor might’ve gone after AJ. Based on Adam and Alyssa’s stories, not too many people were sorry to see AJ go! He was a pretty terrible person – and someone Victor might’ve had a special interest in keeping away from Alyssa’s family.
What if AJ wasn’t really Alyssa’s biological father? Could Victor have slept with Alyssa’s mother and let her pass the kid off as AJ’s? That’s the kind of thing that might’ve led to an altercation and that barn loft “fall.” Alyssa suggested that AJ wasn’t out of prison very long before that happened, so Victor might’ve showed up to make sure Alyssa was protected.
Since Alyssa’s mother refused to ever talk about AJ, perhaps she knew what Victor did and has been keeping the secret. Alyssa’s mom might’ve known that Alyssa’s true dad killed AJ that fateful night. It’d be a big twist in this intriguing new storyline – one that’d make Adam and Alyssa half-siblings!
Adam would finally have a sibling he gets along with for once. Adam had a close bond with Alyssa when they were younger, so that might’ve been something Hope Wilson (last played by Beth Toussaint) and Alyssa’s mom encouraged. If they both knew this potential Alyssa father shocker, that would’ve given them a reason to push for brother-sister bonding.
