The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, August 20, tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will get some exciting news. Despite worrying that Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) was getting her hopes up for nothing, Traci will change Jack’s mind soon enough.
It looks like Traci and Jack will look through some old boxes from when Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) lived in Paris.
Some of John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) belongings will be contained in those boxes, so Traci will hope they can find the home movies Dina wants to see. However, what Jack and Traci actually find could be even more meaningful.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some old love letters will surface eventually, so this will become part of a deeper love story – the one between Dina and John.
This storyline is building to the pursuit of something, so perhaps Traci and Jack will try to track down a piece of jewelry or something else that’d be significant to Dina. This will give the Abbotts something to focus on as they prepare to lose Dina – a little hope for some final memories and a parting gift for her.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say an interesting offer is headed Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) way. There’s no word on what that offer is or who it’ll be from, but Nikki will be tempted enough to listen.
Thanks to Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) decision to sell off various divisions of Newman Enterprises, there’s a ton of Newman upheaval going on.
Nikki might be wary of doing anything else to rock the boat, but perhaps this offer will turn out to be something positive. Even if it adds to the mayhem of Nikki’s life, she’ll have to at least mull over the potential benefits.
Over with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he’ll push a family member to pick a side. Will Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) be put on the spot? Nick loves Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and can understand why she was fed up enough to do something so drastic.
He also knows that when it comes to Victor, the only way to get his respect is to demand it with a move like Victoria’s latest one.
Nick can also appreciate the way Victoria’s making Adam squirm, so it’d be easy for him to side with his sister here. At the same time, Nick can also see that Victoria’s making decisions based on grudges and has something to prove. That might not be the best way to run a company.
Although Nick doesn’t care all that much about Newman Enterprises, Victoria does. Nick may have concerns about Victoria battling regrets later. Regardless, Victor’s a force to be reckoned with, so it’s tough for the Newmans to stand against him on anything.
You can bet Victor will push Nick to back him up and perhaps talk Victoria out of selling any other Newman divisions.
Of course, just because Victor might want Nick to pick a side doesn’t mean Nick will! Nick may choose to watch all the Newman turmoil from afar this time around. Regardless, Y&R fans can expect more family conflict, we’ll keep you in the loop on the latest updates.
