The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, July 23, tease that viewers will see an encore episode from June 2008. In the episode, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will meet with Adam Newman (Chris Engen) and Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), saying that the sales for Restless Style are plummeting. Adam will wonder if they should continue to advertise there.
Later, Victor will talk with Sabrina Costelana Newman (Raya Maddine), telling her that he’s going to give Adam other chance by handing over Beauty of Nature to him.
Sabrina will wonder if Victor is doing so just to spite Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Later, Adam will pitch to his dad that they work on the line together, and Victor will love the idea – he’ll say it will be a family affair.
Adam will then talk with Sabrina privately, noting that she seems melancholy. Adam and Sabrina will discuss Victor’s dark side, and Sabrina will explain that Victor’s upbringing has a lot to do with how he relates to his adult children today.
Adam will say that Victor was always kind to his mother Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman), and that both she and Sabrina have brought out the best in Victor.
Over at Restless Style, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will clash over Nick’s choice of Katy Perry for the magazine cover. Nick will argue that Jack’s just unhappy with the choice because he didn’t think up the idea himself.
Jack will say that they need an objective point of view, so they’ll ask Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), who will think that Katy should tone down her look for the cover.
However, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will say that Katy should maintain her own look. As it turns out, they’ll go forward with Katy being Katy. As Jack and Nick argue over the cover, Katy will ask to see some of Amber Moore’s (Adrienne Frantz) designs.
The photo shoot will finally happen, and Nick and Phyllis will be thrilled with the outcome, while Jack still thinks that the use of a younger model will perturb some of their advertisers.
Jack will eventually get a call from an advertiser that will seem to confirm Jack’s belief, but Nick will refuse to change anything about the cover.
Over at Fenmore’s boutique, Gloria Abbott (Judith Chapman) will be working there when she accuses Lauren Baldwin’s (Tracey E. Bregman) distributor of stealing.
Things will get worse when Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) arrives and notices that Gloria is actually working at the boutique. Jill will call Jeffrey Bardwell (Ted Shackelford), and when Lauren sees Jeffrey and Jill show up, she’ll try to get rid of Gloria to no avail.
Jill and Gloria will get on each other’s nerves big time, with Jill playing the role of demanding customer and ordering Gloria around. Jill will want a basic black dress, and Gloria will quip that Jill also needs a pointed hat to go with it, then Gloria will “accidentally” spill coffee on Jill.
Later, Jeffrey will blast Gloria for sleeping with Alistair Wallingford (Jerry Douglas). Gloria will in turn blast Jeffrey for being with Jill.
Later, Jill will catch up with Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) about her encounter with Gloria. Katherine will accuse Jill of encouraging the whole thing. Jeffrey will stop by to apologize to Jill, and he’ll have brought a silk scarf as a present.
Jeffrey will note that there are a lot of things one can do with a scarf, prompting Jill to tie Jeffrey’s hands behind a chair and kiss him passionately.
