CBS’ The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, October 20, tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will face some tough navigation. Lily and Billy are friends as well as partners, so things are already tricky on the job.
Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) pushed Lily to work with Billy so she could rein him in, but that’s proved challenging at times – like when Billy published the Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) article without Lily’s approval.
Nevertheless, there’s no denying that Billy’s risk paid off. Lily’s just worried about Billy’s luck running out at some point!
On Tuesday, Lily may want to have another talk with Billy about mutual respect and working together as a team. Billy’s definitely trying to meet Lily halfway now, but there’s one more problem: attraction seems to be developing – especially on Billy’s end.
Sometimes Billy will give Lily a look that’s a little more than friendly, so this could put them in even trickier territory.
The more time Billy spends with Lily, the more likely it becomes that this could turn into a romance. Billy and Lily seem like they’d make a great couple since they’re usually bickering one minute and joking around the next. It could make for some good drama as they try to balance work and play.
For now, there’ll indeed be some situation that proves difficult to navigate, so we’ll see how Lily and Billy handle their latest hurdle.
Over at the Chancellor mansion, Gloria Fisher Bardwell (Judith Chapman) will arrive and put Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) on high alert. Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will think it’s sweet to see Gloria gushing over her new grandbaby, but Kevin won’t.
That’s because Kevin knows Gloria well enough to realize there’s more than meets the eye. Kevin will refuse to believe Gloria would race back to Genoa City just to see little Miles Fisher.
When Kevin pushes for info on Gloria’s previous whereabouts and projects, she’ll clam up. After a secret call to summon Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), Kevin will put Gloria through another grilling session.
At this point, Gloria will insist she’s tired of the third degree. Of course, Gloria will really just be wary of Kevin figuring out her secret, but she’ll act offended by all the questions.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Gloria will bolt before Michael shows up, but Kevin and Michael will conspire to uncover whatever Gloria’s secret is.
At The Grand Phoenix, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will be on edge as she prepares for Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) big night. Devon will get ready in a suite with Elena since he’ll be accepting the businessperson of the year award.
Unfortunately, Devon will be preoccupied by Elena’s discomfort – and Elena will be preoccupied by the clinic hookup she’s hiding.
Downstairs at the gala, Elena will remain uneasy. While Elena plasters on the best smile she can, she’ll wander off to chat with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). As for Devon, he’ll talk to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and learn something surprising.
Nick will bring Devon up to speed on his late-night run-in with Elena at the clinic. Y&R fans will recall that Nick witnessed Elena rushing out like the place was on fire. Nick then saw Nate putting his shirt back on – though he should leave that part of the story out!
What Nick will divulge, however, is that Elena and Nate had a stressful night. Nick will mention an overdose patient, so Devon will accept his award before confronting Elena.
It’ll take some work, but Elena will admit Jared (Michael Maclane) was the young man they treated.
Devon will try to figure out why Elena’s been keeping secrets, but she’ll dash back up to their suite and have an emotional meltdown. By the end of the episode, Elena will blurt out the truth about sleeping with Nate.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say a horrified Devon will have a lot to process – and it’ll lead to some explosive faceoffs by mid-week.
