The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will assure Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) of her support. After Victoria gets updates on Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) blackmail plot, Victoria will rant about her brother’s lies. She’ll feel like Adam just cooked all this up to take Victor down, but Adam will insist it’s all right there in black and white.
Adam will push Victoria to consider the murder evidence along with who their father really is. He’ll rant about Victoria acting like a loyal Newman soldier, but she’ll think Adam’s disgusting for sinking so low. Despite Victoria’s outburst, Adam will insist he wants to take over Newman Enterprises or else he’ll send Victor to prison.
Once Victoria’s alone with Victor, she’ll point out that she hoped they could put their Adam issues to rest. Victoria will see that Adam’s very much still a threat, so she’ll be behind Victor on whatever he wants to do next. Y&R spoilers say Victor will admit he has something to tell Victoria, but fans won’t hear that part just yet.
Soon after, Victor will call Adam up to tell him that he’s getting what he wants. Adam will learn Newman Enterprises is his, but there’s obviously more to the story here. Let’s look at how all this played out and see what clues we can gather.
Right before Victor suggests he has something to tell Victoria, she’s basically ranting about how Adam will never stop. It’s possible Victor’s on the same page about that. Perhaps Victor’s offscreen admission involved the realization that Adam had to be dealt with once and for all.
Victor may have confessed that Adam’s right about AJ Montalvo’s murder and suggested a plan to handle his son. It’s clear that whatever Victor has in mind is serious, so this may be his last resort strategy – the move he never wanted to make, but now feels that he has to use.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will take drastic action to protect Newman Enterprises and his family. Handing control over the company to Adam doesn’t line up with that, so it has to be part of his maneuver. Victor may be setting Adam up for a major defeat.
It looks like Victoria will go along with Victor’s plan without any real objections, which could be another tipoff that it’s a setup. Victoria doesn’t care about Adam’s feelings or protecting him in any way. She’d probably be complaining if Victor didn’t have a downfall of some sort brewing.
In an effort to make Adam back off for good, will Victor ultimately tell Adam he isn’t a Newman? Adam’s time on the throne may give Victor a chance to come up with the “evidence” to back that up. When Adam inevitably causes more drama, Victor should deliver an ultimatum – as Young and the Restless spoilers say he will during the week of April 13-17.
Victor may urge Adam to drop all this and let Victoria take back the CEO chair. If Adam’s unwilling to do that, Victor may promise devastating consequences. Spring preview info for Y&R confirms devastation is in Adam’s future. His scheme’s going to backfire in a way he never imagined, so finding out he’s not Victor’s son would fit the bill.
Adam’s whole plan has been about proving he’s cut from the same cloth as Victor – that they’re just alike. His goal was to show Victor he’s far more like his father than his siblings. Why work that angle if they’re not going with a paternity bombshell? It’s right there for the taking!
Of course, it’s possible that Y&R will rewrite it so Adam really isn’t a Newman, but that seems doubtful after all these years. A fake paternity shocker seems more likely, so Victor may be laying the groundwork to deliver big news soon.
