The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, February 5 Review - Kyle & Lola Separate, Marriage Over - Ripley Surprises Amanda

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Wednesday, February 5, tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will arrive at Society and he’ll walk into quite a scene. Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will be sitting at a table talking, while Summer Newman (Hunter King) is about to go over to their table to create a scene. Kyle will walk up to Lola and say quietly that they need to talk. She’ll agree.

Lola and Kyle will head to the kitchen, where Kyle will start in on her being with Theo. Lola will call him out on deflecting from what happened in San Francisco with Summer, and they’ll ague a bit before agreeing to start over. Lola will ask Kyle to explain what he meant by Summer “being in his head.”

Meanwhile, Summer and Theo will head to Crimson Lights, and Summer will remark that they’re both waiting and hoping for the same thing. Theo won’t appreciate the camaraderie, and he’ll snark that Summer won’t get her happily-ever-after with Kyle. She’ll snark back that he doesn’t care about Lola; it’s just about the chase for him. They’ll bicker, and Summer will apologize, saying that if he really cares about Lola, then she misjudged him.

Back in the kitchen at Society, Lola will explain that because she’s married, she would have shut Theo down had he tried anything with her. Kyle will fire back that he did shut Summer down, but Lola will note that he can’t stop thinking about her. Lola will ask Kyle to be honest with her, and Kyle will give various non-answers before admitting that Summer said things in San Francisco that he didn’t want to hear, and that she’s in his heart.

Lola will cry, and Kyle will be all choked up as they continue talking. Lola will say that she always swore that she wouldn’t let what happened to her mom happen to her, and that’s why she resisted Kyle in the beginning. Kyle will hate that he’s hurt her like this. Together, Kyle and Lola will realize that their marriage is over, and Kyle will say that he’ll go to a hotel, which Lola will agree is best.

After Kyle walks out, Lola will exit the kitchen to find Theo in the empty restaurant. In tears, she’ll sit down, and Theo will sit next to her. She’ll ask Theo not to talk about Kyle, but just to stay and be her friend. He’ll tell her that she’s got him as a friend as she leans her head on his shoulder. Meanwhile, Kyle will head to the Grand Phoenix, where he’ll sit at the bar solemnly. Summer will then walk in and spot him. She’ll walk up to the bar and sit down, taking his hand.

Next, on the new episode of Y&R on Wednesday, February 5, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will walk into Crimson Lights with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) at the precise moment when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is accusing Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) of sleeping with Amanda. Amanda will hear it and protest, but Victoria will storm out, and Billy will ask to speak to Amanda privately on the patio.

Amanda will demand to know why Victoria thinks they slept together, and Billy will explain that it has Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) written all over it. Billy will tell Amanda to let him know if any of the Newmans come after her, but Amanda will say she can take care of herself. After Billy goes, Nate will join Amanda on the patio and ask if everything’s ok. Amanda will say no, then rant about all her woes since she came to town.

She’ll then ask for Nate’s opinion, and he’ll say that he believes that she and Billy are just friends. She’ll wonder how it’s possible that he’s still single given all his great qualities, and she’ll mention his exes before mentioning her ex, Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes). She’ll reveal to Nate that he wasn’t physically abusive, but the he was a textbook stalker, complete with calls, texts, and threats. She’ll say that he’s back in Madison.

Nate will tell her that she should stay in Genoa City despite her recent troubles, and that she doesn’t need to run from anybody anymore – that she has more people in her corner than she thinks. Later, Amanda will return to her room at the Grand Phoenix, only to find Ripley standing in her room. He’ll greet her with, “Hello Amanda. It’s been a while.” Amanda will be horrified.

Hopefully, Nate is right, and Amanda will have enough people in her corner to deal with her new reality, which is that Ripley now knows exactly where she is. One wonders who will step up to protect Amanda now. She’s got Billy and Nate in her corner, and according to Y&R spoilers, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will soon step up to help. And we can’t forget Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who is fiercely protective of her new friend.

Of course, if Ripley is as horrible as Amanda has said he is, then he could be quite a formidable opponent for Amanda and any of the people who might step up to be in her corner. We’ll see what happens here, but Ripley may have quite a fight on his hands if he tries to mess with Amanda now.
