The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) remains convinced that love must be in his future. He was married to Phyllis Summers (as then played by Gina Tognoni) in the recent past, but hasn’t been seriously involved with anyone in awhile.
Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) slowly evolving Alzheimer’s storyline, which easily ranks with Y&R’s best arcs in many years, has just ended. And with that, Jack’s focus is naturally shifting back from his ailing mother to his own life.
Jack, like his other family members, received an amazing gift from Dina. The radiant clarity she spoke with at the very end of her life informed Jack that the Abbott’s were his family now. He is the head and with that responsibility also comes wisdom.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott Living Life Without Seeking Vengeance
Days at the Colonnade Room have long since past. Jack no longer has vengeance in his heart for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and actually the Moustache has dropped his wrath for Bergman’s character as well.
Jack learned many lessons through his often times chaotic years in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Longtime viewers know that Terry Lester (Jack) originally embodied the role, playing it for most of the 1980’s, until Bergman joined the cast in 1989.
Jabot is currently doing great. A real rapprochement with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) took place within the last year.
Jack’s proud of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), who is generally open to his dad’s needed advice, and all is good with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), as has often been true. Jack has also offered a true family hand to his nephew, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson), if he wants to take it.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Maybe Gloria Gets Another Go?
Jack’s time with Gloria Bardwell (Judith Chapman) wasn’t intended to be meaningful, but was his last stretch of at least being with someone. Chapman recently returned to the cast, but then Gloria appeared to run back to Hollywood, California.
However, what seems to be the start of Gloria’s arc isn’t what can be considered regular work. While both characters were funny together, the terseness of their interaction in Chancellor Park implies that Glack won’t be a couple’s nickname.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Renewing Family Ties And Finding New Love
Keemo Abbott (Philip Moon) hasn’t been seen on the show in nearly a quarter-century. As Jack assesses all aspects of his life, it’s time for Keemo to be written back.
The fans would benefit by seeing Jack renew this bond with his oldest child and linking his arguably deepest love (the late Luan Volien Abbott, as played by Elizabeth Sung) to modern times.
Jabot will always benefit from Jack’s overview. But what’s infinitely more important than that are matters of the heart. The writing staff needs to create a new love interest for Jack who isn’t off-balanced, as some of his perceived soul mates have been.
Fans want to see this great, legacy character pursue personal happiness and achieve that state of mind.
