The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Cait Fairbanks (Tessa Porter) is celebrating her twenty-seventh birthday. The multi-talented entertainer first joined the cast in 2017 and quickly connected with Genoa City, Wisconsin’s, most famous family.
Y&R used it’s Instagram account to wish Fairbanks well. Aside of the posted photo comments were added that said, “Join the #YR family in wishing @caitfairbanks a very happy birthday!”
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Tanner Watts Isn’t A Threat
Chase Coleman (Tanner Watts) had a recurring role earlier this year. He is Tessa’s ex-husband, which actually served to widely open a musical door for her.
As viewers recall, Tanner successfully convinced Tessa to be his opening act on a long road trip. That offer was supported by Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). But subsequent social media buzz indicated that the one-time couple was getting back together.
The above didn’t prove true, as Tessa’s feelings weren’t rekindled. She’s committed to Mariah, who had a lapse in relationship judgment while Fairbanks’ character was touring. That mistake was overcome in the weeks leading up to the last new episode of Y&R being shown in late April.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Cait Fairbanks’ Entertainment Resume Grows
Fairbanks first entertainment credit came in 2006, when she played Gabby Walsh on the documentary series Untold Stories of the ER. In 2007, she earned an uncredited voice role on Hannah Montana.
The actor went on to appear in a number of television and movie roles before being cast as Tessa on Y&R. She’s since been spotlighted a number of times on the soap, voicing various songs.
Fairbanks was nominated for a 2019 Daytime Emmy Award. She, along with some other Y&R colleagues who were involved in the creation of How Could a Lie Feel So True, participated in the Outstanding Original song category.
Earlier this year Fairbanks shared an Independent Shorts award in the Best Acting Ensemble Combo for the movie Across the Room. That short included her real life significant other Zach Tinker (Fen Baldwin), Tyler Johnson (Theo Vanderway), and Christian Le Blanc (Michael Baldwin), along with actor Karisa Tate.

Devoted fans recall that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) discovered Tessa at Crimson Lights in 2017. The real life musician and singer was working for tips, as she played a guitar and sang.
With her personal life seemingly back on good footing, Tessa will surely continue to be part of Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) cancer support system. Hopefully Tessa’s musical career will also continue growing in GC, as that would be great for this character and the audience.
