A woman named Gabby is taking her road test with a proctor. She gets nervous when the proctor makes notes. They talk. Gabby has move to California after a recent break up. Suddenly the street explodes. They call 911. Mud moves around them and water as Gabby tells May the proctor has a pen in her neck. She stabbed herself when they came to a stop. Bobby and the team arrives. The car is on top of an oil well. Bobby and the team try to decide how to get into the car. If they cut they could create sparks that would lead to an explosion. Inside the proctor coughs, the pen shoots out. She starts to bleed. Meanwhile, Bobby and the team are trying to push the car. They get it away from the oil spill. They break the sunroof and pull them out. Just as they get clear the oil spill spreads and pushes the car.
May comes home to find her mom in lingerie and Bobby’s firefighter jacket. Bobby is nude but has thrown on an apron. May is grossed out. See just wanted her mail. Meanwhile, Buck tells Taylor about the day but she isn’t listening. She tells him she is just tired. She asks her to stay the night. She declines. The next day, Buck vents to the team about Taylor. They appear to be over. Bobby tells him he needs to talk more to her and work through things. Hen jokes about how Bobby and Athena sure know how to work things out.
Hen and the team are called to help a man. He recognizes Hen. He knows her mom. He talks about her and Hen’s dad, who mistreated her.
Athena is called to a casino robbery. Athena is confused when she is told the robbery was 30 years ago and now someone is cashing in the chip. Athena is brought to a Santa who was collecting donations. Thats how he got the chip.
Hen asks her mom if she remembers Clive. Her mom says from the neighborhood, brushing it off. Athena shows. She asked to see Hen’s mom who used to work at the casino. She tells her about the case. As they talk they wonder if their thief worked at the casino.
