Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) seems poised to play dirty against a rival, but it could cost her in love! DOOL fans know Kate and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) have found surprising happiness together, but it’s only a matter of time before their blissful bubble bursts.
Gabi certainly wants Jake for herself, but she’s letting the personal side of things take a backseat for now. Jake turned down Gabi’s business proposal, but he was willing to release the rights to her company.
Rejecting Gabi’s pitch wasn’t about being vindictive. It was about Jake assuming Gabi would always want him to be Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) – and that’s not someone Jake can be. The problem is Kate is indeed vindictive. Kate has far more corporate experience, so she’s willing to be as cutthroat as she needs to be.
That’s especially true when Gabi’s involved! Now that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) is out at Titan, Gabi will work on a deal with Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) and offer updates to Jake. Once Kate finds out what’s going on, she won’t hesitate to fish for info from Philip and try to poison him against Gabi.
Philip is like his mom since he’ll gladly throw other people under the bus if it means saving himself or gaining an advantage. It’s easy to see the potential for Kate to sabotage Gabi’s plans at Titan. Philip may not be too hard to convince if Kate plays her cards right.
Although Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gabi and Philip will indeed strike a deal, Kate could force some second thoughts for Philip later and put the whole thing in jeopardy. However, the more likely option is that Kate will want Philip to cheat Gabi once the deal is done.
Kate may hope Philip can push Gabi out of the picture through some contract clause or blunder. You can bet Kate won’t trust Gabi anywhere near her son. The sooner Kate gets Gabi away from Philip, the better.
If Gabi is targeted and perhaps loses Gabi Chic through whatever Kate pulls with Philip, Kate will surely provoke Jake’s fury. Jake will inevitably dump Kate if she gets too ruthless and tries to take away something that matters so much to Gabi.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Kate and Jake will indeed break up down the road, so all that’s left to figure out is who’ll do the dumping and why.
Having Jake take Gabi’s side in this looming business battle seems logical. Kate’s sabotage efforts may backfire and cause Jake to turn against his current leading lady!
To be fair, Jake may already be looking for an excuse to split from Kate by then. It’s obvious Jake still has feelings for Gabi, so he should surrender to them after Gabi and Kate’s war gets out of hand. As other Days news emerges, we’ll keep you posted.
