Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) could be Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) ticket to freedom if she plays her cards right. Kristen’s island hostage might be the ultimate bargaining chip, so let’s consider how the schemer could use the situation to her advantage.
DOOL fans know Kristen pulled off quite a trick after Sarah realized she was posing as Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk).
Since Kristen wasn’t ready for her plot to be revealed, she wound up knocking Sarah out and holding her in the DiMera cellar.
That led to a faceoff in which Sarah got injected with the same drug Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) used on Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller).
Kristen used her Sarah mask to pretend she was leaving Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) for Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder). Then, Kristen loaded out-of-it Sarah in a trunk to be taken to a private island.
Of course, a lot has changed for Kristen since then. Now Kristen is on the run and facing more charges than ever. Kristen has no interest in getting caught, but she certainly has an interest in seeing her daughter.
It seems like Kristen’s fed up with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) at this point, but she could never abandon Rachel Black (soon-to-be Finley Rose Slater) permanently.
What Kristen needs is a get-out-of-jail-free card – and she might be in luck since Days hands those out pretty often.
Kristen previously hoped Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) would be what saved her.
Kristen told Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) she wasn’t going back to prison and thought she could offer Chloe’s location in exchange for her freedom.
The only problem was that plan got away from Kristen once Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) hotwired the car and drove off with Kristen’s bargaining chip.
Kristen no longer had anything to negotiate with. However, Kristen could eventually realize Sarah is her ace in the hole.
Kyle Lowder is headed back to Days as Rex Brady, which likely means there’ll be some movement in the Sarah saga. Sarah’s disappearance may finally be discovered, so this might be the perfect time for Kristen to get captured.
Kristen could offer Sarah’s location in exchange for her freedom – just like she planned to do before when she was holding Chloe captive.
Days lets prisoners off the hook through explanations like that all the time, so Kristen could indeed use Sarah to strike a deal.
