General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of September 21-25 suggest that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will tell Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) who framed Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) disappearance.
The ABC soap just dropped its weekly preview video, and the promo starts with an interesting scene between Willow and her mother’s BFF.
In fact, Ava tells Willow that, “If Nina is being framed, I may know by who!”
GH fans are aware that Ava doesn’t ‘think’ Nina is being framed; she knows she is!
Ava is also aware of the exact culprit behind the frame job; however, it is highly doubtful that Ava will reveal Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is the culprit.
That’s because Ava and Drew both found Brennan, long since passed away, at the Metro Court Pool.
Of course, they weren’t the first to find Brennan’s breathless body there, but that’s another entire article in itself!
Back to the matter at hand, after finding Brennan’s lifeless body, Ava and Drew proceeded to haul the man off the premises and bury him in the nature preserve next to the Quartermaine estate.
Ava and Drew believe they were (accidentally) behind Brennan’s demise, but do not want to come forward, for obvious reasons!
While Ava is devastated about Nina’s situation, she also doesn’t want to be in it.
If Ava points the finger of blame towards Drew, then she could find herself in Nina’s circumstances, and that’s the last thing she wants to do.
Ava is as crafty as they get, and she’ll deflect Drew’s action by attempting to place a seed of suspicion toward someone else.
Nina has plenty of other enemies in Port Charles who would want to see her go down, so Ava may point these out to Willow.
Not only to keep eyes off her and Drew, but also to possibly help Nina out of the jam she’s in!
After all, there’s been no love lost between Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Nina ever since the Crimson editor ruined Carly’s marriage to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Nina hid the fact that Sonny – who was thought to be gone – was really alive, and proceeded to steal the man for herself!
Not to mention the fact that Nina seems to love Carly’s used-up men, getting involved with Drew after his romance with her nemesis flopped, and then moving on to Brennan.
There’s also the Quartermaines as a whole to think about. While Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) beef is primarily with Willow, Ava may reason that by taking out Nina and framing her, they are striking back at the congresswoman.
Willow has some influence with the WSB, thanks to her position in Congress, so Ava may remind her that pointing out Nina’s rivals may help the agency see the error of their ways and release her mom.
General Hospital spoilers suggest that the truth about Drew planting Brennan’s wallet in Nina’s care will eventually surface.
But the probability of this happening this week – just as things are heating up in the storyline – is highly unlikely!
