Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) is needed as EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feurriegel) worthy rival. Should DOOL bring Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) twin brother back from the dead?
Jake is a fun character, but there would be so many opportunities to explore by letting Stefan return. Brandon Barash is already part of the cast, so why not let him play a dual role?
Deidre Hall does it fairly often since she plays both Marlena Evans and Hattie Adams, so Barash could be next.
It’d be awesome to see Stefan miraculously reenter the picture through some soapy explanation and shake up the canvas.
Of course, there’d be some exciting storylines to explore involving Jake and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus). Something tells us Gabi might drop Jake like a hot potato once Stefan was around!
Gabi has found a connection with Jake and has truly fallen for him, but that doesn’t mean her love for Jake can compete with what she had with Stefan.
We should also consider the fact that EJ doesn’t have a worthy rival in Salem right now.
Who’s going to go up against EJ and give him a run for his money? Because it’s certainly not Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn)! It’s laughable for Chad to think he can hold his own against someone like ruthless EJ.
Chad doesn’t have the same devious brilliance going on, but Stefan did – and he could bring that to the table again if Days brought him back to life.
Stefan could plot to reclaim in every way, which would mean pursuing Gabi as well as the DiMera throne.
There might even be a situation where Stefan and Jake could put their inevitable differences aside to concentrate on bringing EJ down.
Regardless, any character can return from the dead on Days. The show could easily explain that someone else’s heart was given to Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and be done with it.
DOOL could offer EJ some serious business competition, so that’d be one of several great reasons to bring Stefan back.
