Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, November 30, reveals that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) made a monster confession while Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) got a puzzling visitor. Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) also launched a sneak attack, so here’s how all the DOOL drama played out.
In a suite on Tuesday’s Days episode, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) had a nightmare about Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) learning the whole truth about Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and dashing off to rescue her from that remote island. Xander made it clear things were over with Gwen before she woke up in a panic.
After lovemaking later, Xander spoke sweetly to Gwen about how she always knew just the right thing to say and do. Anytime Xander got bogged down by the past, Gwen was there to remind him of his happiness in the present. Once Xander got up to take a shower, Gwen was left in bed alone.
At the Salem PD, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) informed Kristen that her transfer was happening soon and wanted reassurance that she wouldn’t escape. Kristen told Chad she wasn’t going to and sent him to get her a sandwich – giving her the opportunity to steal her brother’s phone and call Gwen.
Once Kristen threatened to blab about Sarah’s fake betrayal and island getaway, Gwen begged her not to punish her for something she’d do in a heartbeat if she could. Gwen just genuinely didn’t know how to help Kristen escape.
Kristen got Gwen to promise she’d go through with this if she found her some help, which led to Kristen calling Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). Ava wasn’t interested in helping Kristen since it could put her fresh start with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) at risk, but Kristen made it clear that Ava didn’t have a choice.
Since Ava helped Kristen escape the last time and lied to Rafe about it, Kristen vowed to expose the truth unless Ava cooperated. Ava reluctantly got on board and assured Kristen that she understood her orders.
Back with Xander, he was irritated over Gwen’s claim that Chad called to berate her again. Xander thought Chad should let it go. After Xander talked about forgetting about Sarah, he headed to the hospital for a special visit. That left Gwen alone again until Ava showed up to reveal they were partners in crime.
As for Chad on Tuesday’s Days episode, he crossed paths with Rafe on the way to bring Kristen’s sandwich to her. Rafe felt there was no chance of Kristen escaping this time around and addressed her last getaway. He recalled how Ava claimed she found Susan unconscious after Kristen fled and told Chad he believed her.
Chad flipped over finding Kristen with his phone, but she claimed she wanted to call Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and was desperate to speak with Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater). She was appreciative of Chad still supporting her despite everything that had gone down.
At the hospital, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) found EJ after he’d been there all night with Susan, who was terrified that the devil would go after him. EJ stepped into another waiting room with Nicole and explained as much of the complicated Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) story as he could.
EJ admitted he spent far too long being ashamed of Susan in the past and pretending she didn’t exist. He got emotional over Susan still being willing to sacrifice herself for him and felt he didn’t deserve it.
Nicole hugged EJ to offer comfort and assured him he wasn’t weak in her eyes. She thought EJ was human and liked the fact that he left his guard down with her. Talk turned to Sami just disappearing out of nowhere. The only explanation Nicole could come up with is that Sami suddenly decided she didn’t want to get back together with EJ
Nicole wondered why Sami would do that, so EJ admitted it was because of him. He talked about pushing Sami away and perhaps being too cruel to her. EJ clarified that he wasn’t just talking about the cheating aftermath since he’d been a vicious monster to Sami when she was trying to nurse him back to health.
Nicole pushed EJ to cut himself some slack since he’d been through a lot, but EJ still felt guilty. That said, EJ acknowledged Sami’s betrayal and couldn’t excuse her actions. Sami was gone, so EJ was moving on – and he was glad to be doing it with Nicole. Nicole assured EJ that she wasn’t pining after Rafe and was right where she wanted to be, too.
At an undisclosed location, Jason (Noel Gugliemi) the guard denied Sami breakfast since she’d stolen his phone. He made Sami give it back and found out she called her mom, who was also in trouble. Sami tried to appeal to Jason through the love he must have to his own mother. She needed to get out of there and help Marlena, but Jason wasn’t swayed.
Jason also learned Sami called her husband, so he chuckled over Sami thinking EJ would help her after she cheated with her former flame. Sami argued that she was still the mother of EJ’s children and felt he would pay a small fortune to get her back, but Jason’s boss wasn’t interested in money.
Sami begged for the name of Jason’s employer, but he argued that they’d been over this every day since she got there and reiterated that he couldn’t give her answers. Jason charged the phone for a bit and eventually caved on giving Sami breakfast, so she put on a grateful act and suggested she wouldn’t try anything like that phone stunt again.
When Jason turned his back, Sami smacked him in the head with her breakfast tray and ran out the door of the shack they were in. Back at the hospital, Xander brought Susan flowers and thanked her for doing him a favor. Susan was confused, so Xander explained how she opened his eyes about his unfaithful fiancée and saved him from making the biggest mistake of his life.
Susan had no earthly idea what Xander was talking about, so these two will definitely have to continue their conversation! We’ll offer updates as other Days news becomes available.
