Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, November 17 Recap – Steve Suspects Hattie Adams’ Takeover – Chanel’s Wedding Objection

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 17, reveals that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) suspected Hattie Adams’ (Deidre Hall) takeover while Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) wedding objection thrilled Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), so here’s how things played out on Wednesday’s DOOL episode.

First on Wednesday’s Days episode, Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) told Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) that she lied to Chanel about making a spur-of-the-moment matron of honor decision.

Paulina acted like she didn’t want to hurt Chanel’s feelings by telling her she chose Lani in advance.

In the town square, Chanel reeled as she processed Marlena’s latest news. She thought it explained so much now that she knew Lani was actually Paulina’s daughter.

Chanel found out Abe Carver (James Reynolds) wasn’t Lani’s father either and decided she should spill the truth.

Marlena warned that Chanel couldn’t since Paulina would know where the info came from. She insisted she could lose her license – though she admired Chanel’s desire to come clean.

Chanel wondered how she was supposed to let Paulina and Abe say their vows knowing what she knew, so Marlena hinted about digging deep and knowing the right thing to do.

Over with Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson), he gave Abe a classy cane to use instead of the one he got from the hospital.

Speaking of the hospital, Steve arrived there to pick Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) up and learned she’d have to stick around for an emergency surgery.

Steve planned to attend the wedding alone and insisted he was going to do whatever it took to get answers from Marlena about John Black (Drake Hogestyn).

Steve admitted he had a theory that involved Marlena being taken over by someone else: Hattie Adams.

Kayla doubted that since Hattie was on good terms with Marlena when she left – not to mention Hattie practically saved the day when Steve was running around as “Stefano DiMera.”

At the pub on Wednesday’s Days episode, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) was hesitant to accept Roman Brady’s (Josh Taylor) offer of a ride to the wedding. Kate didn’t want there to be any confusion since this wasn’t a date.

Roman bickered with Kate before getting fed up and acting like it was pointless to think he’d ever have a shot with her, but Kate blurted out “chowder.”

That was their code word for when Kate would be ready for a relationship, so Roman was thrilled and eventually gave her a passionate kiss.

At the church, Olivia Price (Marla Gibbs) thanked Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) for bringing her over from the airport. She let Eli know Tamara Price’s (Marilyn McCoo) tour wasn’t the real reason she wouldn’t be attending the nuptials.

Olivia insisted Tamara wasn’t coming because she was having trouble accepting the idea of her ex marrying her sister, so Eli was confused since he thought Tamara offered her blessing.

As Marlena walked in St. Luke’s, she muttered that she loathed this place. Marlena also met Olivia, who pointed out that in her day people were married by a “preacher man.”

After Marlena suggested that people were more enlightened now, Roman and Kate showed up.

Marlena got updates from Roman on Steve being anxious to talk to her, so Marlena secretly sent him on a wild goose chase over the phone.

Back with Steve, he told Kayla that he got a tip on a possible location for John and had to skip the wedding to follow it.

In Paulina’s dressing area, Lani wanted to talk to her about something. Eli interrupted and brought the charm bracelet Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) offered as Paulina’s “something borrowed.”

Paulina accepted Lani’s gift of new earrings, which were both new and blue.

Paulina took care of the “something old” herself since she had a locket that she’d cherished for years.

Paulina was eager to marry Abe, but Chanel strutted in and was clearly in a foul mood. Chanel said she was late because she had to drive slowly so the wedding cake wouldn’t get ruined.

After Paulina put on her bridal gown, Chanel acted like her opinion on it didn’t matter. However, Chanel ultimately admitted her mother looked beautiful and snarked about how she’d never lie to her.

Chanel scowled after she walked Paulina down the aisle and still looked livid as she took a seat.

Marlena started the ceremony and suggested that if anyone had just cause why these two should not be joined in holy matrimony, they should speak now or forever hold their peace.

Marlena’s eyes glowed yellow as she looked in Chanel’s direction. Suddenly, Chanel told Marlena to wait and insisted she had something to say.

Marlena smirked while everyone else present looked concerned over Chanel’s big announcement.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chanel’s about to drop the bombs we’ve all been waiting on, so stay tuned to DOOL.
