Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, September 8 Recap – Philip Busts Gabi – Jake Fears Brady’s Murder – Shawn’s Surprise Trip

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 8, reveals that Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) showed up to bust spying Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) – and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) expressed his fears about Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) murder. Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) also offered a surprise trip to Belle Brady (Martha Madison), so let’s talk about all the Days drama.

At the pub on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Belle got a call from Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), who filled her in on Philip’s latest stunt in Pennsylvania.

Chloe wanted Belle’s help to deal with Philip, so Belle told a frustrated Shawn what to order while she was gone.

At Titan, Philip composed a threatening email to that “son of a bitch” Brady and warned him to keep his hands off Chloe.

If Brady didn’t, Philip insisted he would come after Brady, hurt him and keep hurting him. If Brady decided he liked Chloe more than life itself, then Philip ominously wrote that could be arranged.

After Belle got updates on Philip’s menacing memo, she worried all this anger toward Brady would be his downfall.

Meanwhile, Gabi was able to see Philip typing the email in real time through the key logger she installed on his computer. Gabi told Jake about Philip’s Pennsylvania trip and let him look at what was on the screen.

Jake was surprised as he read that if Philip caught Brady near a bed with Chloe again, he’d “cut off…” After Jake trailed off on that part of the email, he insisted that was next level anger!

Gabi thought this was the ticket to bringing Philip down and felt they just had to get Philip to act on that anger.

Gabi suggested they could prove Philip was a jealous maniac who might even resort to violence and wanted to create the right moment for it to happen.

Jake realized Gabi meant triggering Philip to go off on Brady, which he felt could get someone killed if they weren’t careful.

Gabi wondered if Jake really thought Philip had the guts to murder Brady. She figured they’d get a loud physical confrontation with perhaps a thrown punch – and then they’d have this email trail to back it up.

Gabi added that if Philip assaulted Brady, Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) might show some tough love and potentially kick Philip off the throne for hurting family.

Jake decided Gabi had a good idea and said they should push Philip to the brink of that edge.

Back at Titan, Belle warned that if Philip sent the email, he’d regret leaving an electronic trail of possibly prosecutable threats.

Belle argued this is what Brady wanted – to use things against Philip to blow up his life both personally and professionally.

Since Philip already had Chloe, Belle pushed him to just enjoy it. Now that Philip had vented, Belle wanted him to delete that email – and Philip admitted he probably should.

However, Philip hit send anyway and frustrated Belle until they realized it hadn’t gone through. The computer was frozen again, so Belle suggested the fates had intervened to save Philip from himself.

Belle offered another warning to cool off or risk losing Chloe – then headed back to the pub to reconvene with Shawn, who said he had a phone conversation with Claire Brady (Isabel Durant).

Belle hated she missed that, but Shawn surprised her by revealing that he’d just booked a round trip so they could visit Claire in South Africa. That led to Belle rushing into Shawn’s arms for a big hug.

As for Philip, his IT guy delivered news about the frozen laptop and caught him off guard. It wasn’t long until Philip showed up at the Hernandez house, where Gabi opened the door and asked what he was doing there. “Why the hell are you spying on me?” Philip demanded to know.

At the Kiriakis mansion, Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) mentioned how the keycard in his room was moved and insisted Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) would have to find some other sucker to pay Bonnie Lockhart’s (Judi Evans) dowry.

Since Xander was adamant that Bonnie stole his money, Justin wondered if any of what Xander was saying was true.

Bonnie asked who Justin was going to believe: a common criminal like Xander or the woman Justin loved and was about to marry.

Xander eventually decided he’d just go get the money himself, but Bonnie protested that Calista Lockhart (Cady Huffman) was up there sleeping off mimosas.

However, Xander was undeterred and went after the $1 million – leaving Bonnie to dash off after him.

Once Bonnie caught up with Xander, he had the bag of money and suggested she should just let him go. That way they could both have their happily ever after.

Bonnie decided Xander was right and was willing to let him pass, but the incriminating murder weapon fell out of the bag. Xander then wondered what Bonnie was doing with a gun.

“Yeah, Bonnie. What are you doing with a gun?” Justin asked as he appeared in the doorway.

Xander mentioned that Bonnie’s sister-in-law slept like the dead, so Justin wondered if Calista was OK. After Xander left, Justin uncovered Calista and looked horrified to find her bloody body.

After Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) invited Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) over for dinner, they joined Paulina and Abe Carver (James Reynolds).

Eli and Lani brought the twins along, which led to Paulina hinting about Lani’s job being dangerous.

Lani thought Paulina sounded like her mom and knew these days with the babies were precious, but Eli suggested they wanted the twins to grow up seeing what a “bad ass detective” their mother was.

Lani laughed and agreed before they were called to the Kiriakis mansion – leaving Paulina and Abe to watch the twins in the meantime.

Back with Justin on Wednesday’s Days episode, Bonnie argued that she could explain!

Justin didn’t see how Bonnie could possibly explain the fact that she’d stolen a million dollars and left her sister-in-law dead in their bed.

When Lani appeared along with Eli, they were eager to hear Bonnie’s explanation as well.

Later, Calista’s corpse was wheeled out in a body bag. Eli placed Bonnie under arrest for suspicion of murder and robbery, so Bonnie cried that she was so sorry.

Bonnie was read her rights as she was handcuffed and led out of the mansion, so Justin looked stunned and devastated over the wild turn of events.

At Paulina’s place again on Wednesday’s Days episode, she whispered to the babies that they could call her “Grandma,” but she insisted it was their little secret.

Abe looked rather puzzled as he overheard Paulina’s shocker.
