Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers preview for the week of May 24-28 teases that Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow) will wake up blind and freak as she tells Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) she can’t see. Meanwhile, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will be sick of Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) toxic obsession.
DOOL’s latest promo shows Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) talking about how she got back together with Jake. Gabi will remain confident that Jake is her future and will trust that he’s going to tell Kate about them when she awakens.
Jake and Gabi will be kissing in Kate’s hospital room at one point, so they’ll apparently think they’ve been busted making out when Kate indeed wakes up.
However, Kate will seemingly be unable to see what’s happening right in front of her. She’ll claim she can’t see anything at all!
This twist will make Jake want to help Kate navigate her surprise crisis. There’ll probably be no way of knowing whether Kate’s blindness is temporary or permanent.
Jake will no doubt feel sorry for Kate and plan to support her, so his romance with Gabi should come to a screeching halt.
Naturally, this does present the possibility that Jake and Gabi will end up sneaking around right under Kate’s nose. Gabi and Jake may not be able to avoid the temptation, so there could be some situations along the way where Kate’s at a disadvantage due to her lack of sight.
Nevertheless, we should acknowledge the possibility that Kate is faking as part of a vengeful strategy – or that she’ll ultimately recover her sight and leave Jake out of the loop. Kate is a crafty character that fans should always be suspicious of!
Over with Brady, he’ll be released from the hospital and make a beeline for Kristen at the Salem PD. Brady will have updates on more of Kristen’s crimes by then – including the double murder she planned to pull off with Xander Kiriakis’ (Paul Telfer) help.
After Brady rages over Kristen’s obsession, he’ll make it clear that they’re over. As Kristen cries, Days spoilers say Brady will insist they can’t be together anymore. This obviously isn’t a healthy relationship since it’s more about fixation than love.
Brady will push Kristen to head back to Statesville and pay for what she’s done, but the latest Days info actually points to Kristen sneaking out of Salem. It sounds like another escape is brewing, so Kristen really hasn’t learned any kind of lesson at all.
