In tonight’s The Walking Dead episode, it begins with a new character, Will, and he is on his own and wearing a gas mask. He found a walker with a backpack, but he couldn’t take cans of food because they were contaminated from the radiation. He continues to walk around, pass through fires and arrives in a van that is secluded and looks like a home of sorts. Inside, he takes off his mask, drinks some water and gets some sleep.

The next day Will ventures out and we see fish dead in a body of water. The walkers seem to be immune to the radiation, another one approaches Will. He is back and his van and we see masked scavengers outside his van, Will ducks so he is not seen. Will makes his way to a lighthouse, he looking for food or water, there are only empty bottles and cans. He finds a dead rat and cooks it for food, when he is sitting by the fire he starts crying and hugging himself. Will looks defeated, like he is completely giving up. A walker approaches him and he doesn’t move, he is going to let it get him. But, that is not going to happen, three masked men on horseback save him and knock him out.

The next thing you know, Will is being showered and scrubbed clean, then finds himself in an elevator with two men. Will is In the same tower that Strand arrived in during the season six finale. Will comes face to face with Strand holding a gun to his face.

Strand is wearing a military uniform and serves Will up a gourmet pasta dish and a drink. Strand tells him that he has questions. Will digs into the food. Will says he was the senator’s aid before everything went down for senator Vasquez who didn’t make it. He did PR, campaign strategies, he was from Oklahoma. He goes on to say the people he did encounter are wearing masks, there are no faces anymore.

Strand takes him on a tour of the place, he says it was empty when he first arrived, except for Howard and when the dust settled, they were still standing. Strand tells Will he is not exactly what he is looking for, he has his things brought to him and is told good luck by Strand who says he doesn’t share his vision. Will gives Strand a necklace with a talisman attached, he tells him to keep it, it might do him some good. When Strand sees it, he want to know where Will got it from and he says one of the dead. Strand is really intrigued by the necklace and asks Will to take him where he found it and in return, he will let Will live in his humble abode.

Will takes Strand and three of his men out to where he found the necklace, but on the way it starts to rain and they find shelter where Will’s van is located. They see some dead bodies on the ground and Will says it is the handywork of the Stalkers. Strand thinks he has been lured there under false pretenses. All of a sudden, they are ambushed by the Stalkers. Strand drags Will and they take cover in his van. His men are trying to fight, but between the stalkers and the Walkers, they all die. In the van Strand yells at Will and demands to know where Alicia is. Strand abandons Will and hops on his horse and takes off leaving Will to the surrounding Walkers.

Strand arrives at the light house, he goes up to the top and looks around. He finds a map and gets ready to leave. Outside there is a lot of fog, Strand hears footsteps, they belong to Will who has a gun pointed at Strand. Strand tells Will that he knew exactly who he was when he met him, Will admits it and Alicia told him that he was not trustworthy. Will says he learned a lot from Alicia, she was locked up in that bunkard. Strand asks him if thinks Alicia is so wonderful, why is not there with her. Will asks for the medallion back, Strand gives it to him.

Alicia asked Will to do something, but he couldn’t do it. He goes on to say that if Alicia saw him today, he wouldn’t recognize him. Strand says he gave the medallion to Alicia so she could remember who she was, because he feared he couldn’t do the same for himself. Strand asks if he can have the medallion and when will goes to give it to him they struggle. Will takes control and opens up the doors, through the fog he sees many walkers coming his way, he freezes. Strand pulls him inside and locks the door.

Will goes to the top of the lighthouse and turns on the beacon, this gives Strand the light to go on a walker killing spree. Will shouts down at him to follow the light. All of a sudden, the beacon stops, Strand is outside and Will is at the top and can’t get it working, he shouts down for Strand who doesn’t answer. Will comes down and starts to kill the walkers as well, he sees Strand and saves him by shooting a walker that was about to take a bit into Strand.

Strand asks why he saved him, Will says because he still cares about Alicia. They make there way to where Will was hole up with the senator and other people. The community was wiped out, it’s a ghost town now. Will says 128 people lived there before Teddy’s scouts found them and killed everyone. He escaped because he was working in the ventilation ducks at the time.

They are inside a room and there is a note for Wil taped to a lectern, it reads “PADRE.”

Strand asks what PADRE is, Will says he doesn’t know, nobody knows. They continue talking and Strand says he proved to himself that he doesn’t need Alicia, but then he does. Strand says perhaps she will find them. The two head back to the lighthouse and fix the beacon, they turn it on. Will says the beacon will help Alicia to find them. Strand tells him that Alicia is the closest thing he has to family.

They go back to Strand’s abode, and talk on the roof. Strand tells Will that others tried to build a place like this but failed for the same reason, love, attachments destroy you. Will says the light is not to draw Alicia in? Strand says it is to keep her and everyone else as far away as possible, he pushes Will off the room and says as he is falling, Alicia will have nothing to do with him after this. Howard comes up and stands beside his leader and tells him this is going to draw people to them, maybe Morgan. Strand says he is not worried about him or anyone else.

THE END!
