General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will go back to college as she finds a new career and makes a huge life change. GH fans know Alexis was nervous before her release from Spring Ridge – mostly because she now has to make decisions for herself.
Prison obviously wasn’t a pleasant experience and was hard on her family, but Alexis took comfort in the structure of it somehow. Since pretty much all Alexis’ choices were made for her on any given day, she just did what she was told.
Alexis is a free woman now thanks to the pardon she was given, so that’s a scary thing in some ways. There’s certainly the potential for Alexis to screw her life up all over again if she heads down the wrong path, so that’s something she’ll want to avoid.
However, Alexis also has the chance to reinvent herself and become a woman she can be proud of. Although Alexis’ days of battling out in the courtroom are over, perhaps she can still put her expertise to good use. Alexis knows the law awfully well and was a big help to Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) in his fight for justice.
Regardless of how Alexis uses her lawyer background in her new career, a leaked script does reveal Alexis will land back in college. Alexis will attend the class of someone named Professor Khan, who’ll learn she used to be a defense attorney and is making a career change.
Professor Khan will compliment Alexis’ article in Law Review, but he’ll think she’s wasting her time by being there. This professor will flat-out tell Alexis she doesn’t belong in his class.
That could be another compliment if Professor Khan ends up acting like there’s nothing else he could possibly teach Alexis, but it could also be an attempt to get rid of her. It’s possible Alexis will challenge this professor in class and leave him wanting to show her the door.
Of course, there’s also the potential for love to bloom! It’s easy to imagine an “enemies to lovers” type of scenario if that’s how GH writers want to take things. Whatever the case, Alexis will find a new career path and run into some obstacles as she tries to pursue it in college.
