General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Bonnie Burroughs will return to the ABC soap as Gladys Corbin. GH fans can expect Gladys to pop up again in March, so what trouble will she stir up this time around?
Could Gladys be used as a way to control Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) or even make him pay?
General Hospital viewers know Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is getting more fed up every day when it comes to this whole situation involving his mother.
Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) was kidnapped, though Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) pointed out Florence isn’t in distress and gave no indication that she was being held against her will.
Florence likes her new setup and is receiving great care from Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman), but Cyrus obviously can’t trust Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Plus, Cyrus can’t win the approval he so desperately craves from his mother if he’s barred from seeing her.
Cyrus is becoming increasingly impatient when it comes to his mom’s safe return – as we recently saw when Cyrus threatened Brando. Jason shot Brando in the leg to buy him some time, but that time will inevitably run out once again.
Since Cyrus’ other tactics aren’t working, it’s easy to imagine him trying another way to motivate Brando to find Florence. Will Cyrus kidnap Brando’s mom and show him what it feels like?
Brando has a complex relationship with his mother, but he still loves her and wouldn’t want to see her get hurt.
This could put Brando in a tight spot and force him to do some things he wouldn’t normally do. Brando might have to choose between his loyalty to Jason and his desire to make sure Gladys lives.
Jason would never kill Florence, but Cyrus could absolutely kill Gladys – and that’s the difference here. Cyrus is a villain while Jason remains a GH hero despite his status as a mob hit man.
Brando might feel he has no choice but to track down Florence and make sure Cyrus gets her back. It could take away Jason’s leverage and put Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) organization in a very dangerous position.
