General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) could soon be in a real predicament. As GH viewers know, Laura has been reeling ever since she found out that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was her long-lost half-brother.
It was a major shocker for Laura to find out that she was related to the dangerous drug lord, and she still hasn’t warmed up to the idea or to Cyrus at all.
Cyrus has been trying to forge a relationship with Laura – albeit in a very “Cyrus” way. Cyrus has been inserting himself into Laura’s life – first, at the hospital by becoming the chairman of the hospital board, and now he seems to be around every time Laura turns around.
Cyrus is hell-bent on showing Laura that the two of them aren’t that different from each other – something that Laura hotly contests.
It just doesn’t seem like Laura will ever accept Cyrus for who he is. According to Laura, Cyrus would have a LOT of repenting to do before she’d accept him as a true brother.
Let’s face it, Cyrus would have to basically change his entire being for Laura to come around and have a brother/sister type relationship with him.
But what if Laura is put in a position where she has to offer Cyrus help? Now that it’s known that Cyrus and Laura are related, it probably won’t be long before some health crisis comes up and forces an uncomfortable situation between the siblings.
What if Cyrus were to become ill and need something from Laura – like bone marrow or even a kidney?
That would put Laura in a horrible position, especially if it turned out that she was the only person who could save Cyrus. Perhaps she and Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) would be tested, but only Laura would be a donor match for Cyrus.
It might be a real moral dilemma for Laura – should she help this person who has done such awful things, including putting Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) in a coma?
We’ll see what happens on the show, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Laura gets thrust into a difficult decision where Cyrus’ health is concerned.
Laura would certainly agree to help in the end, and that could result in her facing terrible backlash from her fellow residents in Port Charles – and it could even compromise her standing as the mayor of Port Charles.
