General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) may be arrested for murder down the road, but will Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) secret survival be the key to freedom?
GH fans know things got out of hand during that extremely physical showdown between Finn and Peter. Rage took over, so Finn was out of control in that stairwell.
This wasn’t a case where Peter just accidentally fell. Finn shoved Peter with intention and led to that bloody scene at the bottom of the stairs.
Peter was a rotten guy who’s done just about every horrible thing imaginable, but the law is the law. If the truth comes out, Finn could easily be arrested for Peter’s murder.
That’s why Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) has been working so hard to keep Finn quiet. Due to Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig) disappearance, Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) already doesn’t have her mom in her life. It’d be devastating for Violet to lose her daddy, too.
Finn already missed out on a great deal of time after Violet was born, so he certainly won’t be keen on missing more due to a prison sentence.
Getting thrown behind bars would wreck Finn’s whole life since he’d be separated from Violet and his career would head south quickly, too.
From Liz’s perspective, there are so many reasons for Finn to keep his mouth shut.
Elizabeth’s husband, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), was murdered by Peter, so she’ll want Finn to get away with what he did. That’s something that Liz would get great satisfaction out of.
Nevertheless, Finn is the kind of guy who tends to do the right thing, even if it takes a long time to do it.
Although Finn held onto secrets with Jackie Templeton (Kimberly J. Brown) for decades, he ultimately came clean about his past mistakes. Finn may feel he has no choice but to do that in this Peter case as well.
Once Finn feels confident that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is going to be OK through a cure, that may be when Finn comes clean to the cops. If Finn’s arrested and thrown in jail, how will he wiggle out of this mess?
Peter’s secret survival could be crucial to restoring Finn’s freedom.
