General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, August 6 Recap – Finn Suspects Naomi – Ryan’s Spencer Letter Found – Joey Not Scared of Jason

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, August 6, reveals that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) suspected Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Bermingham) while Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) letter to Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) was found. Joey Novak (Patrick Zeller) also made it clear he wasn’t scared of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), so here’s how it all played out on Friday’s GH episode.

By the Metro Court pool, Ava Jerome (Maura West) had a proposition for Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) and told him she needed a man!

Ava’s current bodyguard was fine, but he worked for Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Ava needed to cut all ties and wanted to hire Shawn as protection.

Shawn informed Ava that he wasn’t for hire since he was busy trying to find out who shot Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig).

A cold trail was still a trail – and Shawn was determined to make sure the person behind the shooting paid the price.

Ava fished to find out if Shawn and Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) might start their romance back up, but Shawn was adamant about that being part of his past.

After Ava agreed sometimes a fresh start was best, she shared a toast with Shawn.

Meanwhile, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) found Laura Collins (Genie Francis) after being summoned to the Metro Court. Laura had bad news from Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) doctors since there’d been no improvement.

Laura assured Dante that she’d never give up on Lulu, but she’d come to realize that giving up wasn’t the same as moving on.

Dante wondered if Laura had been talking to his mother and filled her in on Olivia Quartermaine’s (Lisa LoCicero) concerns about him being stuck in limbo.

After Dante said he’d never stopped loving Lulu, Laura teared up and insisted she didn’t expect Dante to wait for her daughter. Laura knew Lulu wouldn’t want either of them to put their lives on hold.

When Laura asked if Dante was seeing anyone, he started nervously stammering about how he wasn’t. Laura assured Dante that she wasn’t giving him the third degree and didn’t want him to hide any new romance that came along.

At Kelly’s, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was near the counter when Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) came in with Finn and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) following Finn’s softball came.

Violet was excited to have afternoon tea with Anna this weekend, so Anna shared a sweet moment with her before rushing off.

Liz offered some victory milkshakes before Naomi appeared and encouraged Violet to remember her grandma. Violet hesitated for a second, but she ultimately recognized Naomi and ran over to hug her.

After Violet asked where her mommy was, Liz led Violet away so Finn and Naomi could talk.

Naomi was apologetic about staying away for a year, but she insisted she’d been in Europe.

Finn wondered what the guy’s name was, but Naomi said it didn’t work out anyway. She urged Finn to let her make things up to Violet and not punish her for Hayden’s mistakes.

That comment left Finn suspicious, but Naomi claimed she just meant Hayden abandoning Violet.

Naomi assured Finn that she didn’t know where Hayden was and revealed that she was staying at a hotel until she could find somewhere more permanent.

The news that Naomi was sticking around didn’t please Finn – or Liz once she returned with Violet.

However, Finn agreed to figure out the visitation situation and Naomi bid Violet farewell for now.

Once Violet had some headphones on, Finn worried to Liz that his daughter would start missing Hayden more and asking questions. He knew it’d be hard to explain since he didn’t have a real explanation for himself either.

Later, Violet hoped that maybe her grandma could take her to see her mommy. After Finn replied with “we’ll see,” Violet assumed that meant the answer was no.

At the boxing gym, Jason got Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) on the phone and pushed him to find out where Joey Novak was right away.

Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) appeared moments later and chewed Jason out for abandoning Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

Obrecht wondered what kind of man Jason was and ranted about how he was one of only three people who knew about Britt’s Huntington’s marker. She was outraged over Jason walking away and breaking her Britta’s heart.

Afterward, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) held the punching bag for Liesl as they discuss Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

Anna wouldn’t reveal much about her investigation, but Liesl was unhappy to hear Anna refer to Peter in the present tense.

Obrecht made it clear that she’d prefer for Peter to be dead, but they all had to stay on guard in the meantime.

Anna noted that if Peter were dead, she would tell Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) right away. She added that she wouldn’t believe Peter was deceased until she saw it with her own eyes.

Meanwhile, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) accused Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) of putting a target on Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) back. He argued that their daughter should never be in the position of being threatened by a rival crime family.

Jax took a jab at Carly for being the head of the Corinthos organization, but she pushed him to back off and trust that she’s handling this. Carly acted like Jax was overreacting over “one rogue idiot named Joey Novak.”

Back with Jason, he cornered Joey outside Kelly’s. Joey asked what took Jason so long and didn’t seem concerned when Jason delivered a threat.

Jason promised that any further contact with Josslyn would result in full retaliation, but Joey asked if that was coming from Jason or Mrs. Corinthos. He acted like Carly was the one in charge.

Jason contended that Joey was making unnecessary trouble and didn’t think Joey’s uncle or the other families would tolerate this show of disrespect.

Joey said he’d take his chances before he parted ways with Jason. Afterward, Jason offered updates to Carly. They worried about the possibility that Joey had allies since he was too confident.

At Spring Ridge, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) explained to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) that Ryan dictates letters by communicating with his eyes.

They discussed the possibility that Ryan’s health aide could be the stalker by proxy.

Alexis admitted that the health aide was someone they knew and pointed out Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) nearby.

Nikolas wasted no time in confronting Harmony and demanded to know if she was doing Ryan’s dirty work.

Harmony assured Nikolas and Sam that her job was merely comfort and correspondence. She insisted she wasn’t doing anyone’s bidding outside of that facility.

Sam wondered if they were supposed to just take Harmony’s word for it, but she maintained that she was trying to turn her life around – and Sam admitted she believed her.

Harmony revealed that she’d only been working with Ryan for a few weeks, but there were lots of past letters – mostly ones that were returned unopened.

Harmony said they were harmless and screened before they were mailed, but Nikolas wanted to see them since Ryan might’ve written something in code.

Harmony initially refused and walked off, but she returned following Sam’s departure.

After Harmony loudly declared that she hoped she didn’t accidentally misplace Ryan’s file with all his letters, she said she’d come back in about 20 minutes.

Nikolas looked through those letters with Alexis, who found the one addressed to Spencer and showed a worried Nik.

After running into Liz later, Sam found out Naomi was in town and filled Shawn in over the phone.
