General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, October 8, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will welcome a VIP guest while Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) delivers a bombshell to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will also deliver her next apology, so here’s what fans can look forward to.
For starters, we should discuss a mysterious visitor who’ll pop up at the Corinthos compound.
Sonny will be tickled pink over this unexpected arrival, so it seems likely it’ll be Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy).
Carly should get an opportunity to meet Phyllis and express her gratitude for taking such good care of Sonny in Nixon Falls.
As for Nina, it looks like she might have a chance to catch up with Phyllis as well.
If Nina had come clean about Peter August (Wes Ramsey) instead of handling it herself to protect the Sonny secret, The Tan-O would probably still be standing.
The bar Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) once loved was a total loss – and that’s something Nina can’t apologize for enough.
Nina also lied to Phyllis for months, so she’s got a lot to make up for and could perhaps start trying in Friday’s episode.
At Kelly’s, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will have something to give someone – and it might be Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) based on Joss’ somewhat arrogant tone.
GH spoilers say Josslyn will become even more convinced of her suspicions, so she may feel like Esme was the ringleader of Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) scheme rather than a loyal helper.
Josslyn may warn that justice will be served, but Esme still has a few tricks up her sleeve.
Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will be taken aback when Esme approaches him and begs for help. Esme’s awfully good at getting cute boys to do what she wants, so Cameron may be no exception.
Joss and Cam will be at odds soon, so that may be due to whatever plan Esme talks Cameron into.
Esme and Spencer’s plan involved actual crimes, so Spencer’s arrest is looming – and Esme may have to get crafty to avoid landing in the slammer herself.
In the meantime, Spencer will seem excited about a deal he offers someone. He might present it to Trina, but she may not think he should mistake compassion for total forgiveness.
Trina was kind to Spencer after his father kicked him out of the house, but she can’t just pretend nothing happened.
Spencer targeted Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), who happens to be a close friend and mentor of Trina’s.
That’s something that’ll be hard for Trina to move past, so she may open up to Portia about it.
Portia will face some shocker and push Trina to elaborate, so maybe Trina will tell the whole stalker story and reveal that she still has feelings for Spencer despite his deception.
The heart wants what it wants, so Portia may share some lessons she’s learned on that topic over the years.
Whatever the case, there’ll be some sweet mother-daughter moments to help with Portia’s empty nest syndrome.
Ava and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will continue to celebrate their reunion now that the stalker situation’s been cleared up.
Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) will be able to spend some time with Ava as well – and that’ll bring the good news that Mommy’s sticking around Port Charles.
Finally, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will refuse to be anybody’s second choice. Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) marriage to Carly didn’t pay out, but Britt can’t just pick up where she left off with him.
It was painful when Jason left Carly for Britt, so she’ll be holding out for someone who can put her first.
However, we know Jason and Britt will join forces on Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) rescue mission in the coming weeks.
Perhaps some private time in Greece will strengthen Britt’s connection to Jason and put their romance back on track.
