General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one ABC soap star, Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall), decided to send out a rare message on social media – and she had an important goal in mind. Kelly Monaco has plenty of supportive GH fans, but the General Hospital star usually stays off social media for the most part.
That’s why it’s always a big deal when Monaco decides to pipe up! On Twitter, Monaco got on her account briefly to deliver some kind words to her fans for sticking with her. Let’s look at what Monaco had to say in her recent post.
“Hello my dreamy Sam fans,” Monaco said in her tweet. “I have been reading through a lot of the posts here. And I want all of you to know, that I do read each and everyone of them. I may not answer… Obviously. But your support does not go unnoticed! #BestFansEver”
Of course, Sam is a popular character, so her love life on the show is always going to shake things up. There tend to be fierce battles over who Sam belongs with and why. That’s no doubt part of why Monaco’s choosing to speak up and thank the fans who stand by her no matter what.
Whether Sam’s with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) or rocking it as a single lady, she’s still the Sam McCall many viewers have grown to love over the years.
However, there’s certainly been a big push from all the Jason and Sam shippers out there to reunite this JaSam couple with a lengthy GH history.
There have also been accusations in recent months about Monaco and Burton not wanting to work together being the reason for their characters’ split.
Back in January, Monaco shut down that idea after a podcast created a stir on social media. Monaco argued that it was “total speculation and bullshit” if you ask her.
Naturally, Monaco has no doubt received messages from GH viewers who are opposed to the Dante and Sam pairing as well.
It’s easy to see why Monaco would want to speak out and thank the truly devoted Sam fans – the ones who love Monaco’s portrayal regardless and want to see her succeed!
Monaco’s message prompted tons of fans to once again voice their support of her in the role, so it’s good to know she’s receiving some positive tweets to balance out all the negative controversies. We’ll offer updates as other GH news emerges.
As for what’s ahead in Port Charles, General Hospital spoilers say Sam will continue trying to figure out her new chapter and will work to make sure Peter August (Wes Ramsey) doesn’t do any more damage.
